Hello,
Recently I picked up a box set and it had a completely blank GX full art promo. The card is from the Tag Team powers Collection with the Espeon and Deoxys GX, Umbreon and Darkrai GX, Carracosta GX, and Eevee GX full art promo cards. The blank is technically the Eevee GX card, or at least where it is in a normal box of this collection. I haven’t opened the box at all yet since I wanted to try and figure out what I could do with it before I did open it. I was wondering if it’s possible to grade it since I have a feasible way of knowing what card it was meant to be. If I can’t grade or slab it then I guess I intend to keep the box sealed and display it that way. I’m new so I’m not sure yet on if I can post photos of links to photos but if someone could help me I’d be glad to send some photos

Pictures would be great, If you are looking to grade it, it may be worth giving CGC a try, Can you see the back of the card at all?

Can’t see the back at all since I haven’t opened the box at all and I think there’s another promo behind it if I remember correctly from a previous one of these collections I opened.
You can recreate that effect with acetone on a holo card so I don’t think it’s worth anything outside the packaging
I would suggest keeping it sealed as I don’t believe any grading companies would consider grading it.

That Eevee is typically textured correct? Does the blank card have the texture or no? If so then an acetone wipe would be impossible right?
The texture layer is on top of the general holo base layer. If it never received the color layer, then it likely never received the texture layer either.

Like others have suggested, best to keep this sealed.
Since the card is missing it’s texture if you took this card out of the box i’m not sure it would be possible to determine if it should of been the Eevee GX card or just some random holo card that’s been modified with Acetone. At least this way in the sealed box you know its a genuine error.
I suggested CGC before since they have graded a lot of error cards and continue to do so but i don’t think they would be able to verify this one for the above reason. You could always shoot them a message on instagram though i guess if it is something you are interested in, They could probably tell the difference between a genuine factory error and a deliberately modified card but i still don’t think they could verify that it should of been an Eevee GX without it being inside the box still.
