Base set charizard no stars holo error

I’m considering getting a psa 8 base set unlimited charizard from ebay that has the “no stars holo” error. Is anyone familiar with this and does it make the card more or less valuable/collectible?

Could you post photos of the card?

I see stars…just hold the card at a different angle

The guy on ebay is advertising it as “no star holo error” in the headline on ebay. Yeah you might be right, I heard errors often make cards more collectible so I don’t know if the seller is doing it just to make it seem more desirable

Since you can’t see a vid on eBay, he/she just so happened to take a photo without them in it. Clever description but still looks like your normal base set Charizard.

Do you think it’s worth $600 usd? I bought another psa 8 base unlimited Zard the other day for 500 CAD

Its worth 600 if you REALLY want a charizard with faint stars.

Although if it actually had a different type of holo, I guarantee it would have sold the second you posted here

Makes sense. I need to educate myself on fair market value of these cards. Thanks for the info

Without seeing an actual video of the card, or other photos of it, nah. PSA 9 for unlimited is averaging around $600. I don’t believe it until I see proof, then if it is, maybe but I doubt it would be on eBay for very long.

There’s definitely stars in there. I see at least 8

Is the holo slightly shifted up from the bottom?

Imo not worth it

I’m just speculating but I think Base set is going to be legendary one day. As first edition climbs, base unlimited will follow too as more people become interested in the collecting hobby. Thank you for what you have done for the community, Gary!

There are definitely stars.

Hey 1st time poster here.
Just replying as I brought a Psa7 Charizard with “no stars”.
“No stars is a bit of a lie but the stars a few and far between and also very dull. I’m trying to figure out more about it, so hoping someone could help out.
I don’t know how to post photos but will try to figure out  I would say the amount of “stars” is 1/5 the amount and the are quite dull.

There are certainly stars in the holo under different light conditions. This occurs in varying degrees across fossil (most commonly), jungle and in some instances base set.

Some people refer to them as no-star holos but in reality they all have some level of Holo pattern. That being said, if you compare it to a standard Holo you will see a noticeable difference.

I hope this helps!

This is just a zapdos I have that can help provide additional context. There is a noticeable difference between them.

Is it worth more than a more prominent Holo pattern? That is entirely up to the buyer. Good luck whatever way you decide.
