Another Fake Snap Pikachu Card

Pikachu isn’t on the list of ones they would have trouble with.

But this is my point… you saying “send it to psa and prove it”.

Ok I can do that… but up until a few hours ago I had no idea what PSA was because I’m not a collector. So I was also asking for advice. No reason for people to be rude to me D;

Just to clarify, my comments or any other comments were strictly about the authenticity of the card and scenario.

Why is the card straight in the first photo, and then warped in the second photo? This is impossible for one card.

Also, look at the snap symbol on a real snap card vs this pikachu. The symbol and ink should have the same clarity. The Pikachu is too blurry.

These are quantifiable objective problems. At this point it would be consciously misleading to pretend this card is real.

Nobody is being rude to you. Just because you don’t like their concerns with the card doesn’t mean you get to call them rude, it’s very rude of you to do that.

I got a DM saying I should kill myself. Not rude? lol… I didnt say everyone HERE is being rude, I said I’ve gotton rude people in the places I’ve posted this.

I’m not buying this victimhood bull crap. I’ll be ‘rude’ now and tell you to go away. You’re just a troll who has nothing to offer.

@frostbyte We need to see high resolution photos in good lighting to make a better assesment. I feel it’s possible that the low lighting you are using in your photos may be causing a higher ISO on your camera. I can’t tell if the card resolution is poor, but either way I think there is some photographic distortion.

A couple areas we need to see are:

  1. Top front border and top edge.
  2. A close-up image of the set symbol. (a scanned image would suffice)
  3. Several images showing the quality of the surface finish and gloss that you mentioned… You need to take this at a 30-45 degree angle with some
  4. Any other angles you can get.

As high a resolution and as bright a lighting as you can manage. Providing these photos would help us get closer to an objective determination.

Be careful handling the card in the mean time.

Her statement wasn’t expressing victimhood (in that sense), I see it as a well reasoned response.

Am I the only one who wants to see this play out? The OP hasn’t been able to submit objective evidence countering Scott’s points and yet we’ve already concluded that this person is a “troll”? Let’s do better than this… Lets leave the name calling outside of the discussion.

If you actually owned the card there would be no problem showing its validity tbh

This card is so fake. Just looking at the borders I was like:

The objective evidence from Scott has presented was brought up by others hours ago and the OP chose to ignore these and focuses on the personal comments.

There is nothing that would even suggest legitimacy in this situation. There’s so many holes in the story. The card looks fake. There’s reason to believe the OP is posting deceptive pictures. How many more red flags are needed?

If you seriously don’t believe people can be as rude as to tell someone to kill themselves over something like this, then you must be pretty new to the internet.

I still believe it’s a fake regardless, though.

Here is a photo this individual sent me on December 15th.

Here is a real snap card.

You can immediately see the difference in the clarity of the overall card and especially the snap camera logo. Also the top Pikachu border is odd.

The quality of photos is not the issue. The background on the pikachu photos are clear in every shot. It is the actual card which is blurry, not their camera. I can literally see the texture detail of the background when I zoom.

Here are the images imbed so you can see them side by side, beginning with the real snap:

@smpratte

Is it possible that the Pikachu SNAP has a slightly different set symbol than the Chansey SNAP, for example. I don’t have the reference material in front of me but based on what few photos we have of the SNAP Pikachu it seems to be the case. This is the reason why I asked for clearer photos to make an objective determination.

I didnt respond to smprattes points because I’m still not home in order to take more pictures, videos, and look at the actual card, I’ve been out all day. You guys are jumping on me when y’all are inpatient as hell. I didnt say the card was real, Im still trying to figure that out myself as well!! I will have more pictures and a video for you all in a few hours, jeez.

@jkanly @cardcolle

Obviously you two don’t see it yet so I’ll give you the play by play.

Right here frostbyte brings up people being rude. I hadn’t seen anyone be rude before this post.

Doubled down on people being rude… Nobody is being rude? What is the motivation.

The good old I’ve been caught and instead of admitting it I’m going to backtrack and sell it big time. Even if it’s true, what does this have to do with anything, why does this community need to be your shoulder to cry on? More importantly, why bring it up page 3 of this topic, 8th post, convieniently after Smpratte posts this:

It’s obvious to me they were calling us rude, and I told them off. If you two want to keep on this bull shit train, go right ahead. I jumped off long ago. They know what they have to do, and send the card to PSA if they feel it’s real. But they don’t get to come into the community, and act like victims when we tell them stuff they don’t like to hear.

@cullers

The card being fake has no bearing on whether or no the person has received death threats on any of the platforms they posted on.
