CGC just published an article with their analysis of the recent “Disco test prints” which were heavily promoted by @PokeflexOP and @Chizardoguy , finding that the cards are fakes.
Hey everyone.sharing my disco holo collection. Just made a sub to cgc for verification. But wanted to share some photos and gather thoughts as I’m planning on selling some raw and ungraded.
The sheet that mine came off was from multiple cuts that contained machamps , magneton has no stats(other sheet did) and some of the number designations on the cards have errors (both Chansey and clefairy are 5/102 ) and venusaur and Zapdos are 15/102 . Finish on front is slightly glossier than production …
This was never meant for the public.
It was meant for a printer’s eye.
But now that it’s surfaced, it tells a story even clearer than its ink:
These aren’t errors.
They’re experiments.
And the large disco pattern?
That’s not a flaw—it’s the first spark of something bold that never got its chance.
It’s the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer of Pokémon cards—different, doubted, and almost forgotten.
Until now.

Uncut. Shadowless layout. 1st Edition stamp.
Stage box errors.
Disco …
CGC’s XRF analysis confirmed significant differences in the composition of the fakes when compared to real cards.
They also noticed differences in card layout and printing patterns which confirm the cards were not printed by Pokemon or as test prints.
I hope this finally puts the issue to bed! Good on CGC for making public the results of their authentication.

Well written article from CGC, I am glad its finally put to bed. It’s concerning that forgeries are getting better and better though, at least in print quality.

Bye bye unlimited Disco Charbar.

To nobody’s surprise. Thanks for sharing. I guess CGC was probably getting a few inquiries about these counterfeits, so they wanted to nip it in the bud.

Oh I’m still here. Still haven’t received my submission back from cgc. But if these are the results than it is what it is.
I was never heavily promoting anything.
I only raised debates like anyone else would’ve.
Also not fair having @fourthstartcg block me out of threads and creating his own narrative like a child.
So again if anyone I’ve shilled these cards by “heavily promoting them”to feel free to comment (I don’t think there will be)
I also still think cgc is just covering there ass after grading millions in fake playtests. But that’s another conversation that I’m not having here.
But I’m sure if cgc or any other grading company did confirm authenticity. I’d be watching a video similar to this lol
Feel free to lock me out again

Nah, you and the other guy were quite loud on this and with zero evidence to back it up. Stop taking it out on Fourth.
Real question, will you be issuing any refunds to your previous buyers?

Not shocked at all, good for cgc investigating these

Are you dense?
There is no “previous buyers “
Anyone who purchased an uncut sheet or single off me did not buy them in the thousands of dollar range.
No body bought those pieces as “real discos”
And the initial people who did. Got a full refund well before this entire debate was sparked.(into the first day or two of my first thread)
So if people need refunds for things they didn’t buy lol let me know and I’ll be glad to help them
The fraud raging through the veins of this hobby is exhausting. Too much to keep up with anymore. Its like theres something new every day ranging from peanuts to FBI investigation worthy territory.
Good to see CGC realizing they need to be proactive about this obscure stuff now…I guess. Too little too late to salvage their reputation in my opinion.
