Smh dude has been lying since his first post, and you believe a member here actually sent him a death threat?
BRUUUUUUUUUH.

@jkanly The photo you shared of the real card is yet another nail in the coffin.
Why is a lower resolution photo of the real card clearer than the higher resolution photo from op? Why is the background clear but the pikachu is blurry?
Why are the Charizard cards clear but pikachu isnât?
Why is the weird discoloring on the top border but not present on the real card?
If anything this situation is a great example why all high end cards have to be graded.
They didnât recieve death thread @cardcolle. If they did they need to grow some thicker skin and not project their problems onto us.
I didnât call them a troll because they got told they needed to die. I called them a troll because I donât believe they received that death threat at all, and theyâre making up a fake story because I told them to stop calling us rude. Reread what I posted, do your own detective work by going to page two and reread the posts going forward. Itâs obvious their story doesnât add up.
Mirrors my thoughts exactly, Iâm glad my obscure chase card doesnât have any high res photos yet lol but I probably still wouldnât buy it without it being either from a WoTC/TPC/Media Factory employee or graded.
They didnât say it was on efour, just on one of the platforms they posted this on. Couldâve easily been reddit. Death threats over trivial shit happen a lot on the internet. I just donât see the need for calling people out on âliesâ, which easily might be true.
Like I said, the card is likely fake, doesnât mean they did this intentionally. I just see no need for baseless attacks.
I think you guys need to just chill until they can take high resolution pics of the card before making premature declarations, donât you think?
I donât really see anyone being anything other than âchillâ besides perhaps cullers over the likely fake threat. If it happened on another platform it has nothing to do with us. Here in the thread no one was rude, they just donât believe the story or card. This is the most logical reaction and shouldnât be offensive. If they have a real card they can prove it in time but anyone betting on that likes incredibly long odds
@skinst their photos are 3000 x 4000. Yet they are somehow more blurry than the real card image which is 1/4 the size. Even when you zoom in on the smaller real scan, it is still clearer.
Their camera has no problem getting a clear shot of the background, or the photo of the Charizards. For some reason the Pikachu is is the only blurry thing in any photo.

I see your point. I suppose I mightâve missed that, my apologies. The texts sizes are indeed very different.
The OP never responded to any comment I made so I gather that theyâre not actually interested in proving the cards legitimacy.
Its all good. Iâm going to take the rest night off from the internet

BS⌠THE END. FIN. CLOSE THREAD âŚ
Just took one look at the card and think it looks fake, end of story.
Even a mod on the reddit forums closed the thread as an apparent fake, rip. I will hold reserves on any belief of legitimacy until otherwise proven but I also believe that we can hold ourselves a little higher when responding to the somewhat negligible claims of the OP. We hadnât been rude until the OP mentioned that we were, and only then did we make his accusation true. I would argue that it would have been better for a few members to give their two cents worth for the OP to go off of then let the OP and Pratte to sort out everything in PMs. Scott isnât the only one who can identify and instruct on this issue but as he was the first one brought up by another member of this forum and we can all trust his professionalism I think it would have been a safe route to take. Instead this has become an extremely lengthy and unnecessary thread of accusations and so forth. Weâve all deduced that this is a fake until proven otherwise. Letâs leave it at that and if and when the OP returns with evidence we can get back onto the topic.
Sorry for the lengthy message, I just felt it would be good to remind people we are a community and maybe even if itâs only one out of every ten times an individual with a fake card isnât actually working on any malicious intention then we may have had a truly invaluable member down the track if they found an interest in our hobby. Albeit, there has been reason in this case to argue otherwise but we shouldnât act like this in all situations.
I hope as always no one is angered by my response, I understand why this thread has played out as it has.
Well said, Festa.
Before we get this to eleventy billion pages, it would be nice to see this thread locked.
Iâm actually really disappointed many people here considered this thing may be real, look at it!!
100% fake unfortunately, as others have said border is the smoking gun. The discolouration and border is too thick. Also as Scott points out the overall blurriness is a major tell, hopefully your cousin didnât shell out too much for it at the time!
You donât even need to look at the pictures to know itâs fake. Just read their first post on reddit, has more shade than the trees in my yardâŚ
So much for being genuine
