An interesting thing about Celebrations is how often people report getting the same card over and over and over again. You complain about getting Donphan repeatedly. I saw someone else say all they get is Claydol. I, personally, have gotten 5 Reshiram. But I haven’t gotten a single Donphan or Claydol.
I wonder what’s up with that. It’s so strange that people so frequently seem to get the same card over and over and over but other people will not get that card once.
Still hunting the UPC… Gamestop does an online drop in 3 parts today, which each last a grand total of literally 5 seconds each. That is not an exaggeration either. I was refreshing as each one happened and did not even see the add to cart option appear they went so fast.
From all the packs I’ve opened (there’s a lot) I’ve only received one Solgaleo that is part of the regular set. I find it crazy. Meanwhile I have like 14 Xerneas
I still need about a fourth of the reprint cards and I don’t know if I should wait until I am 100% sure I will not be getting an ultra premium collection or if I should just finish the set with singles. I prefer to get them from packs, that’s the fun way, but the UPC is so hard to get and realistically that’s the last sku I would buy.
I check here a few times a day. Look for the “Active” green label for quick checks. Expired labels means they sold out. Some posts don’t have labels though.
I put my preorder in on Amazon. 8 months to wait for 4 promo packs is a touch on the extreme side but I guess it’s worth the wait. It will be nice to have some unchecked ones in my collection.
Gamestop DID restock the UPC, but is was for literal seconds and came in several waves with the longest one being at 1:30AM EST yesterday. Many never even saw the “add to cart” button pop up. The running theory was that it was heavily botted.
They’re absolutely botted, the Troll and Toad listing has been up for a long time now and it’s still in stock, since there wasn’t an automated bot they’re still in stock! Fudging hate scalpers, they’re literal scum causing artificial scarcity on a set that isn’t exactly spectacular.
