25th Anniversary Set - Celebrations

I love the Kyogre as well. Both that and the Groudon are my favorites from the set. Also the Full Art version of Base Pika is really nice.

As goofy as they are, I love the flying Pikachu and surfing Pikachu VMaxs a lot

The cruise liner in the Surfing Pika VMAX art gets me, and the giant Pikachu trying to stand on the tiny surfboard? Outstanding.

I purchased the complete Japanese promo set for $510. I’m relieved… I had anticipated to spend closer to $2k. Sure the packs are cheap so I may have over spent in my impatience but I can’t complain about getting a full mini binder set for the price of two big Alt arts.

Including all the classic cards? Not bad if so

None of my “waiting until 10/22” orders shipped. :slightly_frowning_face:

I want my collector’s chest!

The 25 reprinted cards with the red stamp. None of the blue stamp cards.

That release was delayed

That makes sense. I guess I will be less whiny about it now.

Any thoughts on the Chinese cards? There’s an exclusive umbreon and Charizard box. The Chinese have really outdone themselves with these unique products. It makes me think that one day we will all be collecting English, Japanese, and Chinese if they keep this up especially since it looks like the competitive tcg scene is getting stronger over there.

After seeing the stuff about the searchable promo packs, I think I’ll end up just buying a complete Japanese set too, then extra singles of the cards I want a few of. Even though I think there is a good chance most won’t have been searched at the getgo here, I worry about 5 years from now if they are left sealed who will trust they are unsearched? Will have to open them anyway. Since there are only 25 cards I don’t see much reason to even buy the sealed promo packs other than lottery joy and knowing it’s pack fresh.

If you get the convenience store carton - it has 5 of the boxed sets of 4 boosters + 1 promo. They’re tape sealed on the bottom of the box so hopefully less chance of searching

How are the promo packs searchable? By weight?

I t’s been a few years since Pokemon company started putting code cards in packs to prevent weighing, can’t believe they don’t think of this for any mass distributed set. :unamused:

From what I’ve read, the packs are very thin compared to regular packs and can be searched by shining a light to determine what card is inside.

That’s unfortunate :slightly_frowning_face:

Crying internally about this tbh card25th.portal-pokemon.com/hk/card/bundle1/
Had enough of a struggle getting English versions of these, not sure how I’m going to go about getting all the languages and not spending a small fortune.

I will be completely honest, I’m glad I stopped with foreign releases after February 27th this year (except for the Base Set cards). So many 25th anniversary Pikachu releases right now, multiplied by 11 active languages.
Also, I didn’t even knew you were still collecting in silence. Best of luck with all these releases! I’m looking forward to your updated website.
