I was speaking to a colleague about this set and mentioned it was a bummer that Venusaur/Blastoise weren’t included. They suggested it might be due a Red/Blue/Green version. So this could be the Red box so we get the Charizard line, then hopefully the other two appear in their respective versions, perhaps incorporating Jungle/Fossil as well.

I’ve ended up ordered 4 more boxes 
might even add more, but want to save some money for Evolutions even though I know I’ll be disappointed.

My 2 boxes from AmiAmi have arrived. Unfortunately I haven’t pulled the Pikachu EX SR that I wanted, but I did pull the common Pikachu (duh…) and almost all regular Holos that I wanted. I must say that there is a lot of variety regarding the holos in both my boxes, which I’m happy about.
I still have a third box incoming from an eBay pre-order that I made before ordering from AmiAmi (which was 20 USD more expensive, although might not have the 32 euro (± 36 USD) import, making it cheaper…).
As for my pulls:
Box 1:
- 1x SR
- 1x U SR
- 2x UR
- 1x Break
- 15x regular Holo (of which 13 unique ones)
Box 2:
- 1x SR
- 1x U SR
- 2x UR
- 1x Break
- 15x regular Holo (of which 13 unique ones)
Lol, I now notice both are the exact same. 
EDIT: After both boxes I’m missing 0 Commons, 2 Uncommons, 0 Holo Rares, 6 Ultra Rares, 3 Breaks, 1 Secret Uncommon, and 11 Secret Rares.

Hopefully I get the Pikachu in my third and final box. If not I’ll have to buy it loose.
As for other cards I’d like to get (or buy if I don’t get them): SR Brock, SR M Charizard EX, U Charizard Spirit Link. All the other cards I wanted I’ve got now, like the Charizard, Mew, Mewtwo, Exeggutor, etc.
When the third box has arrived I’ll post updates again.

Dang, that is a hell of a change.
To be fair I just noticed the Japanese cards also have the same changes. Levels next to HP and are now black.

I more meant the deck designs rather than that but yes, ahaha

Shame the HP is in black ink instead of red. They look more like the Japanese base set than the English set. Ya know what I shouldn’t complain. I’m just happy they didnt go the route of the stormfront charizard and “redesign” the reprints

So… to continue my DHL story…
Yesterday I called at 10.15 AM (their callcenters opened at 10 AM). They needed me on the phone to ask if I wanted to pay the taxes via their website (then they send a special link via email to pay) or if I wanted to pick it up, +50KM from my house, and pay it there (can’t they just ask that via email or their website?!). Of course I chose the first option… but even though they were only opened 15 minutes yet, no way how quickly I paid later that day, my package would be delivered starting from the next day. So another day !
Today at 15PM I finally received it! I opened 2 boxes & 1 slowpoke blisters and am very happy with the results… but never DHL again for me!

I upped my order to 12 Boxes from AmiAmi. Paying for on Friday. Would of been paid for last Thursday if PSA wouldn’t of screwed me over again and charged me for a 30 business day submission three weeks early after only entering it into their system 2 weeks prior to that. On top of that they gave me terrible grades! Jerks! Hopefully, these Japanese boxes will be Nice to me. I deserve a break for a change.

Wait… so you are complaining about getting an order back quickly…? 
When the order was sent out wouldn’t you just mentally write off the balance of the grading fee for the whole time period at PSA? It seems overly risky to keep charging up that space on the card when any given day PSA could complete and max you out.

Guys… looking at the images for the Evolutions set - PLEASE tell me they aren’t gonna use the crappy new holofoil method? Just a plain sheet of rainbow or something?

I absolutely despise the new ‘foil’ but I think you hit the nail on the head here…it’s that ugly stuff we’ve been getting. Glad I didn’t bother preordering. 1 box it is! How do the US makers consistently manage to botch everything? From overall QC, foil, font…its just awful. These cards look just like the cheap Chinese fakes we used to lol at.
If its not galaxy or star foil, I won’t be opening any boxes of English. They can’t be THIS stupid, right?
They didn’t use the same foil on the CP cards that have been used in all of the other XY sets, so I think they would do the same for the English cards and go back to using the galaxy foil.
