I have been a player at the last 2 worlds - and yup they do a lot of side events. The side events and the Pokemon store they hold at Worlds often has some exclusive merchandise which is pretty cool too. I am NC located (but I already have a place I am staying with friends that is full). If you join the Carolina Pokemon facebook page though I am sure you could find some people going to Worlds who still needs roommates. IE I know a player Stephen Hunter who still needs a place/roommates for worlds and I am sure there are others driving up/from NC who will do so likewise.
Do you think we could possibly plan a meetup or a lunch or something for one of the days? If not it isnāt a huge deal, just I want to make sure I see everyone
Last year was truly an experience and really cannot wait for this years. I wanted to send a friendly reminder to everyone that was hoping to trade on Pokemon Go. Keep storing your stardust!!! I looked and in order to do the trade at the lowest cost of stardust is by being āBest Friendsā on Pokemon Go which requires 90 days⦠With Worlds just 60 days away, it puts everyone at Ultra Friend Stardust cost assuming we all keep sending each other gifts daily. This translates toā¦
Also a Nashville open is confirmed. The below is probably going to be the design for the non-competitor mat available at the Pokemon Worlds store:
An adorable design imo. Most likely going to be a Pikachu playing a banjo as well for the Worlds exclusive plushie, just like how in previous years the mat reflects the plush design (Coconut and Trolley ie).
My room is two blocks from the convention center. If anybody here is in need of wifi/computer access who is out of country or otherwise Iāll be happy to let folks use my roomās wifi for whatever they need (provided Iām there). Iām also totally comfortable handing out my personal cell should anyone need it, please message me here.
Iām really looking forward to seeing everyone there. Iām seeing more and more names that I got familiar with during my YouTube days. Glad to see so many people are still around.
āPlease leave any items larger than a backpack at your hotel. If you have already checked out, please ask the hotel front desk to store your luggage. Bags should not exceed 9ā x 14" x 22" (23 cm x 36 cm x 56 cm). Attendees with larger items at the event entrance will not be permitted to enter the event space."
I brought a large suitcase into the event last year as did many others. Looks like Iāll be switching to a backpack now.
For those looking for a lot of fun at worlds, I highly recommend building a TCG deck and bringing it to play.
There are usually āfree playā areas where you can sign up for on-demand, short tournaments with packs as prizes. While a lot of the top-tier decks will cost a fair bit of money, you can easily build a cheap deck for $50ish. Itās a great way to get involved with the worlds crowd, pass the time if you find yourself short on things to do, and just have fun.
Hopefully Iāll be able to play a few of you guys there!
