See you next year!

is there anything to do other than play? I live in east Tennessee and have family in Nashville so it would definitely be a doable trip I just don’t play the tcg. a friend of mine goes to alot of yugioh events and does alot of trading and purchasing. just wondering if there will be vendors or plenty of old school collectors trading and selling?

Them and T swift must be into Pokemon on the DL.

worlds usually has side events (tcg, vg,). and live pokemon to meet (think mickey mouse at disneyland). Often big vendors like pokemoncenter, collectors cache, troll and toad are there.

Thanks for the heads up Marie, I’m staying here!

Flights booked, hostel reservations made, 4 days in Nashville for under $300. Now that’s what I call traveling on a student budget.

See you all there! Hype!!

Very happy I found this thread.

My brother and I plan on attending (literally working on booking a place and finding a flight) Since I’m booking late, I’ll probably be further out, however I would love to meet up with some fellow collectors.

Would anyone like to meet up the night before/night after events and grab dinner? Not sure how you guys typically get together but would love to join in.

Just wanted to say hi – used to send in PSA cards to you for grading! Welcome to eFour

(P.S. I’m also from Pittsburgh  )

Woah blast from the past. Welcome back!

Hey man, always good to run into another Pittsburgh guy! Thanks for grading with me previously and it’s great to be here!

Thrilled to be back!

I took a pretty good mental health break there for a while and really within the last two months or so things have really started to look up for me, so here I am.

Something my brother pointed out to me, is that some of the previous Worlds events were not opened to the public. Additionally, is there a pass or ticket you need in order to get into the event?

It’s been a few years since I’ve done an event so anyone with some previous knowledge would really help me out. Thanks!

They will sell spectator passes online closer to the event. They were $10 last year and really make the event much nicer.

I was thinking of setting up a Worlds channel on our discord group (when the time comes) where we could coordinate and plan while we’re there! I know I’m getting in early on Friday and leaving late on Monday, so lots of time to hang out and meet up with everyone! Can’t wait!

That is a great idea!

I’ll probably be eliminated day 1 - but I’ll say hi to anyone who feels like it over the days! Heres hoping worlds stay east coast as well for next year too

I would like to sign up for the text service where I get the heads up about the spectator badges going for sale. Haha.

It’s the easiest $10 I’ve ever spent.

Just to update:

My brother and I will be staying at the Aloft Nashville West End Hotel (less than a quarter mile from the convention center).

For anyone who would like to socialize, our door will be open and everyone is welcome to visit. I’m sure we’ll figure more out closer to the event but I wanted to throw the invitation out there now.

We’ll see you all in Nashville!

Yea last year us competitors also got a spectator/family badge as well as with our competitor badge. We sold those things for like 40-60 each which was pretty nice :stuck_out_tongue:

Does anyone who went last year to worlds know if they did the awesome side events? Also I am going (driving from nc) I am looking to find a roomate to split a nonsmoking hotel room! probably not convention hotel room but within 15 min or so drive time, fairly decent priced like quality inn or extended suites, as i cant afford hilton but also im not staying in a bedbug infested slum either. Ideally the room would have a total of 2-3 people. If you already have a room but have a spare bed and would like to split cost (or for invites recipents- make some $), please let me know.
