I’ve got an extra opportunity for everyone coming to worlds. With the help of my handsome friend @silversnorlax204 we have secured a downtown clubhouse right by the venue. We will reveal the location only to E4 members who confirm their attendance (base list is badge list, so if you’re there, you’re good).

Date: Saturday, August 17th
We have always talked about meetups, but I think it’s time to make one that isn’t dependent on hallways and awkward “who are you?” moments. This space will allow people to freely buy and sell, which the venue makes difficult. It’s basically just a space that is ours. The first true, organized meetup.
Here’s what I need from you:
Please consider throwing some money at the cost if you can afford to do so. The base cost is $1000, and we are working out tables/chairs, additional fees, etc. now. From my experience, I’m guessing that means we will need a handful of anchor donors at $100+, a solid number of $50+ donors, and if you can only afford $10 because this trip is already stretching you, that’s fine too. I am committed to making sure this happens and I’m going to back the event: it will happen no matter what. And no one will be turned away because of finances. This is not a charge event.
We got this at a fraction of what we were quoted for other clubhouses and similar venues, so I’m incredibly excited by the value and opportunity. Hopefully others feel the same way!
Please PM me or @silversnorlax204 about donating if you’re able and willing. We will keep all contributions entirely anonymous. If it goes well, we can look into making this an annual thing, too!
This is an excellent idea! With such a large crowd heading into worlds this year, there would be no way we could all fit into a hotel room - so this is a great alternative!
I’m chalking this expense up as paying for a dinner out, so maybe I’ll be a bit more frugal at a lunch venue or something like that… If there truly are 50+ people going like it has been forecasted then $20 from each of those 50 will surely cover the cost. I don’t mind spending a bit more money to help those who can’t afford it so you’ll see a nice chunk of change from me. I don’t mind spending money when it is for fun and entertainment so let’s HAVE SOME FUN!
Similar here. The way I’m treating it is that I’ve spent $10-$100 or more over the years going to countless events that I didn’t want to be at and didn’t have a good time at. Award dinners/banquets/some weddings/parties etc. I want to go to this and it’s really easy to get behind. Thanks to Charlie and Jason for doing all the work. Hopefully people’s generosity can ensure it doesn’t come at a large financial cost to them on top of all the time they’ve spent. I’ll see you all there.
Hey all, i will be there on a very low budget. I already said i would give $10 to or buy quack a burger or cheap meal, but i can try to do a little. but not even sure if i will have chance to get by clubhouse, but probably will eat dinner there? if its ok for us to pick up a meal at some local joint, then bring said meal to clubhouse to eat??
