1st Edition Base Box Opening (Kinda)

I won’t be grading any of the packs and won’t be selling any. I will open a few of them for sure so I am excited about that. I have seen the occasional upside down pack so that does not worry me.

I highly doubt that anyone could make a fake box look this legitimate. The packs look perfect and the boxes seal was spot on. I have opened more than 1 fake 1st ed base box and have opened 4 authentic 1st ed base boxes. The fakes do not look anything like this one. They all are filled with nonsense, the seals look mediocre to bad, and when you open
the box you will know right away. No one would put 36 legitimate 1st ed base packs in a fake box either. Just my opinion from first hand experience.

I offered 35k and he passed. Now he’s taking less to sell individually? Somethings fishy wouldn’t you say?

Is it possible that he is selling them this way so as to avoid taxes? Perhaps he is selling to people through friends and family on Paypal so as to avoid getting nailed with fees and paying Uncle Sam?

I would think that if you sold a box on eBay for 50000, you would only keep about… I guess 35,000 after fees and taxes? I could be off there, but selling in smaller increments makes sense in that case.

If you do 35k through FF you can bet your ass the IRS is coming for you lol. when you speak with a paypal rep they will tell you you will get banned from PayPal or have the ff feature taken away if they see you doing transactions through there often that seem “business” related

What did you pull in the other packs you’ve opened (if you have)? You should do a live stream opening of one pack. That would be exciting!

Pretty sure he sold out instantly.

I would have done the same however some friends in the community wanted packs as well so I made sure to limit myself.
