yeah, really cool to watch, its just a shame how most the pulls were off center, you drop a load of cash on one of these bad boys, all you hope for is some psa 10 worthy cards
Dang. I couldnāt bare to watch cause the poor guy was too shook up. Feel sorry for him.
Did he end up with any Charizards?
Yeah, heās been quite unfortunate recently. Sent in a chinese Blastoise that looked like a 10, but it came back an 8.
Thatās one spontaneous ending haha.
Great to see anyways stuff like this in 2015.
haha hes alright, he shakes opening a lot of his boxes, and he didnt end up getting a charizard
Oh really? Thatās just awful, very unfortunate:(
He was acting like a child. If youāre going to open a Base Set box, you have to go in to it realizing that there are in fact holos that are less desirable, centring is a known issue, and doubles are a common occurrence. Donāt crack an ~$8000 box if you canāt handle not pulling what you want.
That was a struggle for me to watch him. I donāt think Iāll be subscribing anytime soon.
Like @garyis2000 said, he was shaking so much that even if I wanted to enjoy the opening you could tell his nervousness, his angry attitude to pulls and his āend gameā mentality to get a charizard. Then like @salmoncannon said, he goes ballistic at the end with the final pull. You canāt expect to always pull a charizard, or any good cards for that matter. Itās a known issue that WOTC holos can come scratched right out of the pack, thereās also centering and they really didnāt care if you got 2 of the same holos in a box! Poor him, but donāt go in opening an $8000 box expecting to profit.
That background of boxes
That was incredibly painful to watch. I wouldnāt have uploaded it.
It feels like he talked me into wanting him to not pull a Charizard. Thatās pretty sad considering my attitude to collecting is everyone should get what they want. =(
ohgawd heās so dramatic. My favorite part was when he said āITS RACISTā
but donāt go in opening an $8000 box expecting to profit.
He might have better off going to a casino.
I just managed to watch the whole thing. Sad to see he didnāt get a charizard but still some nice holds even though some were off centred. Iād still be happy with those.
At least he lived a dream that many collectors like me are dreaming about and that was to open 1st edition packs.
I think heās upset that he didnāt get a Charizard, but not as upset as he appeared in the video. In his next upload after something like this he usually back-tracks and finds the positive of his last opening. Then again this a 1st edition box so who knows.
People say he acts like a kid when shaking while opening the packs, but Iāve never seen a kid open a pack of pokemon cards and shake hahahaha they are usually very care-free, so when you think about it he was acting like an adult after-all. That being said the shaking was a turn-off, but he does it in all his videos. The pack weighing was a turn-off too, but I donāt care because it was 1st edition base set opening and cool to see those cards.
One thing he did wrong, was he did not surgically open the packs. Because there are idiots like me that are interested in getting nicely opened wrappers to add to their sets.

Absolutely.
One of my sons sells empty packs with 10 nm/m 1st base cards. The packs, if opened properly, have some value.
Glad I saw this. First of all, I can appreciate the construtive criticism. For example, I did shake too much in this video and wish I hadnāt. The fact is, when somethings costs this much, thatās how it goes with the anticipation. I donāt collect MTG, but itās like that dude who pulled the black lotus. Iād like to see any of you do this without being nervous and excited. How ungrateful some of you are. Tmurder didnāt even show the cards half of the time. This was the first time this was uploaded in 5 years since his.
Letās get the facts straight first. Whoever decided to assume it was $8000, how about knowing the facts before spewing numbers out? I bought this with 1st edition Jungle for $6500. After selling the Jungle box, this was $6050.
I graded the other packs and have sold many through PayPal deals, not to mention that the commons and uncommons were graded. To say it wasnāt profitable, how about learning some basic math first. The holos were almost free after all things considered.
Thirdly, Iām well aware of the centering issues. I take a lot into account before buying and opening. Thanks John Madden of Pokemon cards for the obvious.
Finally, I wasnāt mad about it not being Charizard at the end. I just wish it hadnāt ended on such a crappy card. Mewtwo or Gyarados would have been nice.
I wish people would know the facts before spewing out whatever nonsense comes to mind first. This kind of stuff drives me nuts about you kids who have no idea what youāre even saying. Just come up with opinions first, then make up your own āfactsā to support your own fallacies. Way to go. I made out quite well on this. If you think you can do it better, by all means, go ahead, if you have a real job and can afford this and ever move out of your parentsā house.
ohgawd heās so dramatic. My favorite part was when he said āITS RACISTā
Letās see you do this and not be so dramatic. Itās 1st edition base set, how can you not be nerveous opening it?
Hey mate, looking back over the thread most people and comments were supportive and understanding of your situation. I can see how you took a few of them as personal attacks, i personally enjoyed the suspense in the video.
I get youāre annoyed but generalizing and making up facts that everyone is living with their parents is pretty similar to what youāre getting frustrated with.
I think youāll find this community very supportive in the long run and Iām glad that another serious collector has joined.
Welcome!
