There are still 4 on eBay US. Have to explicitly search for the 8. The bottom back corners on the cheapest one are unfortunately pretty rough.

Those asses on ebay are ruining the market right now! The 7’s were selling for 7-9k just a few weeks ago and ran out–there were none for a few days and those 2 guys listed 'em for 20k and 17k, so now everything psychologically thinks 14k is a great deal! Geez! Good for you, bad for anyone who wants a 7 (MEEEE!)!
To be fair, a 4 was paid for at $6.4k two weeks ago. I’m not sure why anyone would list a 7 at $7-9k after seeing that… Block 9 auction archive. I’m settling for a lower grade now, it’s not a horrible feeling once you mentally adjust.

Haha your response cracked me up. I know, I know. But here’s the thing…
I have a 6. I basically want to trade it for a 7. I want to complete the set PSA 7. The Zard is about the only real obstacle in my way. All the others aren’t too bad. Need a Blastoise, but he’s not so brutal. Have all but Blastoise, Zard, Hitmonchan (he’s super tough to find).
And I know, I saw that 4… that was beyond my comprehension. It was PWCC as you noted, and it sold at the exact same time was a 6 that sold for basically the same price. No idea how or why. Boggles the mind. But the 7’s I mentioned sold about a week or 2 prior to that. Biggest regret of the last few months is not pulling the trigger on the thick stamp I watched down to the very last second on auction. Ended at 7.9. Seriously slitting my wrists over that

Don’t think they’ve ever really gone down… prices have stagnated and flat lined over certain periods but it always seems to be upticking.

he probably thinks at some point the 9 will sell for 75k minimum. so an 8 logic is 1/2? idk lol.
There was literally 2 available today below that price point, maybe it was a strong 8 with regrade potential? There was a copy up for around $30k CAD that got delisted only half an hour ago. The owner probably saw this and ended the listing immediately.
I don’t think he uses eBay, sounds like he prefers the DM method and just throws a wad out to make sure nothing is sold out underneath him.
where is everyone seeing that he bought one for 36k?
I asked for a source and didn’t get it. Only one person is making that claim.
