1st base Charizard psa 8 price evaluation?

I don’t see that anywhere under sold. By the way, to everyone, just because sales history says “x item sold, best offer accepted” does NOT mean it actually sold. There are many glitches–it is beyond frustrating. I personally contacted the lucky guy who had the 35k 1st ed PSA 10 Chansey asking what price he took for it. Because I mean, c’mon, its the rarest card in the set at a 10. He said he just took the listing down opting to keep it after all. Said it sold, best offer accepted. So you can’t always go off of that, which stinks.

There was indeed a 7 sale for $11.5k. I’ll check tomorrow if it was meant to be private and if not will link it.

Do you have the link for this sale?

Yeah I kind of agree with that, but I feel that BGS 9s are still quite consistent. I regraded BGS 9 into PSA 9 numerous times (might be lucky). However anything under that feels like a waste of money and would most likely grade one grade less with PSA.

^This. I have a few BGS 9’s that are on par with PSA 9’s but as stated before, anything below a BGS 9 is super inconsistent. I believe Scott made a video regarding this awhile ago.

I do think the whole BGS 9.5 deal is super gimmicky. You see it with some of Pokerev’s streams - he’ll tell people to grade w/ BGS because it has a chance at a 9.5 compared to getting a PSA 9. I believe I’ve seen this saying on here before but, “the best way to sell a PSA 9 is in a BGS 9.5 case.” I just don’t see why someone would pay a premium for a 9.5 compared to just buying a strong 9 when they look exactly the same (in most cases).

@mewtuw, I’m well aware that in Pokemon, when I’m buying a BGS 9.5 it’s usually a regraded strong 9 or a would-be-9-but-not-PSA-10. Personally I don’t see an issue with that at all, because it’s frustrating getting weak 9s, especially if you want the card in a certain condition for your personal collection. It’s not always easy to find a strong 9 and people already have started adding to the price for a “strong” PSA grade so may as well get the BGS 9.5. Hence the whole point of a middle 9.5

Different strokes for different folks mate.

BGS 8.5 just sold with an asking price £25,000. Not sure what offer was accepted as flipper tools is down, messaged the seller.

Here is the link if anyone knows a site to see the actual sold price: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392961826896

It doesn’t show up in 130point under US or UK sold listings as of yet. Maybe later

Yeah i checked that site as well. Seller responded and confirmed the sale, but won’t tell the sale price out of respect to his buyer.

Jeez how long was this up? £15k is a great deal with those subgrades.

Graded November 1999, damn.

Wow surprised the seller negotiated down to that. If these buyers for a 9 at 50k are real then I think that was a good deal.

It was up for a week or so, but was UK collection only as the seller couldn’t find a courier service to insure it for it’s full value.

yeeh i was thinking the same tbf, i wouldnt of let it go for less that 25k if it were me! im not even sure id let go a psa 8 for 15k atm

@pokeqween , FWIW it’s £15k not $15k, about $19.3k, slabwatch is grabbing the GBP offer but the US-converted BIN in the source code.

ahh!! nice one, that makes a little more sense now! either way still a good pick up even at that price given the 9s atm!

Not bad, just a small discount to last sale given wire requirement and personal pickup caveats.

For what it’s worth in relation to the psa 8, I got an offer of $14K for my PSA 7 today. I think psa 8s are well into the $20K and up range at this point. Edit: there are still 4 listed, 3 of them are at or above $30K.
