I agree that sometimes people can be overly critical of the company and it causes people to overlook the card/item itself. But simultaneously I think a lot of people here are interested and buying items like this (this thread has multiple) and they just aren’t as loud. Overall I’m happy to have as many diverse opinions as possible on here.

Venom is a good way to describe it.. It’s ok to have a heated debate from time to time, I just felt like I had to double down on my opinion to be heard. I try to stay neutral and respectful but sometimes you just have to stand up for yourself.

Sheets cut by someone whose username started with a C, and are being peddled on social media by someone whose last name starts with a P?
Something newer members might not know, these sheets have been around a long time. There were ancient members from the BC (before clout) era who had a few of these sheets. There were a few crude cut ones as well. Anyway I wouldn’t be surprised if more appeared.

Blue cert disco cards were from before the sheet was cut by you know who, and those were probably from some employee. The magneton popped up on Reddit and I have seen an alakazam and some others prior to the sheet. A buddy of mine has the Zapdos*

boy I just botched my last post like I’ve never done before.
I have one of the blue label ones from old employees and they were def hand cut and are destroyed basically. they are cool, but I don’t think disco holos will ever have mainstream appeal especially with so many coming out. just a personal thought on them though
I used to want a clefairy more but now only if a really good opportunity presents itself. nothing to do with cgc, and much more to do with the way these were now “released”

Funny enough my Gyarados was the second test print to be sent to CGC before the Charizard they made an article about, but due to it being caught into the Ludkins shit show I think one or two graded before it.

Personally Disco holos hit every possible spot. I love shadowless, I think it’s the most beautiful Pokémon set ever made, and I’m a huge fan of obscure, nitch and rare items. They are the perfect combination. I can’t think of a better piece to own other than a trophy card.

I bought the crudest cut disco holo (originally surfaced on Reddit in 2014) and graded it myself - definitely looks like the handiwork of a kid
