Yup this is the point, huge declines from 2021/2022 so whatever sold for $2,500 in 2022 is worth way less now for niche non tcg

There’s 29 of these Topsun zards at PSA10 and 91 at PSA9, decline in price not surprising.
People have been trying pretty hard to make PSA10 MEIJI cards and we all know they are notoriously hard to get high grades. 26 years has not yielded a lot of high grades, hence there’s only 20 Zard34’s at PSA9 and 4 at PSA10. So we’re not comparing like4like.
People have in fact not been trying hard to make PSA 10 Meiji cards. There are less than 4,000 graded PSA cards of the entire 49-card 1998 Meiji Set. Nearly every card in the set has <100 graded copies floating around. This isn’t because they are immensely rare, but because they are extremely niche and haven’t been worth grading.
Always remember to ask yourself, “Why is the pop low?” before assuming that it is due to incredible rarity or difficulty with grading gem mint copies. There are a large number of cards in this set that have 0 PSA 10s, but it’s because only ~50-70 have gone through grading total in the past 26 years.
If people actually cared about Meiji, they would be graded en masse and the PSA 10 pop report would also climb. It’s possible for something to be difficult to grade but also undergraded. Betting on undergraded sets can be risky, as you don’t know what the raw latent supply is like in Japan. I’m not here to tell you one way or another, just to provide some context to your “POP 1 of 4” card.

Another thing that I realized suddenly is that this is not really a Charizard card. It saysドワァーツ！ (Dowaatsu!)
It doesn’t mention Charizard specifically anywhere in the front outside of the PSA label.

But not the same holo : yours is cracked ice holo, his one is the flower holo. So the real pop is even lower
