Your help is greatly appreciated @jyscal, it will give me good argument to prove the shop the card I bought from them are fake. I wasn’t expecting getting fake cards from an official store at all.
A least I learned new things in the process and will be able to spot good opportunity from scam next time 
Buying something you know nothing about to make money is one of the easiest ways to lose money.
100% true but if @melphis is telling the truth (which i believe so), it is very easy to fall victim here. If my lgs pulled out an old box of magic (which I know absolutely nothing about), I would have no reason to believe that those packs would be fake.
I had made enough research to know this was a potential great opportunity. These cards were collecting dust since years. They would have made someone happy, while making me a nice profit to make my pokemon cards collection grow.
I was just not expecting to get fake cards from an official store. I contacted them and they weren’t aware too. They will refund me, and offer me some pokemon products as en apologies for the unconvenience.
For 130$ a box, the risk/reward ratio was good for me. Getting information here before doing anything with this packs was the good thing to do too in my eyes.
It’s not the win I was expecting at all, but I’m happy about this experience at the end of the day.

The nostalgia hits so hard for me! There’s something different about collecting Yugioh though. It doesn’t give me the same reward as Pokemon does. Pokemon can reskin pikachu 10,000 different ways and I still love all the japanese promos, I can’t say the same for a lot of yugioh stuff…
Honestly, you did the best you can do with the limited information you have. You saw something that you felt like it can be a good opportunity, and then asked questions to verify when you are out of your depth. You were skeptical but also believed in the experts when they affirmed that the cards were fake. We all start somewhere so I am glad you at least got your money back and learned something at the same time!

This guide on the forum has some estimates, but I’d take those numbers with a grain of salt, the real amount of copies out there is unknown.

I have a question in regards to Dark Magician Girl & that is was there a unlimited version released for the Dark MVP1-ENS56 Secret Rare?
I have been looking on eBay & other sites but I only come across the 1st edition cards.
I’m trying to finish off my English DMG binder set with all the prints, 1st edition and unlimited. This is the only card I need and now the new lost art reprint as it has a new set number.

Afaik, there was only the Special Edition, Gold Edition and Secret Edition. The Special Edition would be the only one with unlimited cards, the other two are 1st ed.
Thank you, I got it mixed up with limited edition but there is no Dark Magician Girl. I thought there was unlimited as well like the Special Edition and Gold Edition as they both have unlimited printings. Well that’s good to know as I only need the new Lost Art DMG card to complete my English DMG binder set.
Recently bought an soi box and while i belive its legit i wonder if anyone has seen konami logos like this before?
They look like they were double printed on.
Do you have more pictures of the box? One logo on the box doesn’t help me at least in assessing it

I just bought a set of the 2004 ultra rare misprint tins. Not that they are the most valuable items compared to others in the hobby but this has been a goal of mine for years and didn’t think it would be possible (not that I was looking too hard lol)!
