All of the ultis are nice imo. I just like how all old school ultis look. Doesn’t make them valuable tho. Prices are rising in the set. Machine Dup and Monst. Reincarnation are not cheap.
They printed so much of this set that unlimited is actually harder to find. They put 1st ed packs in the 2005 tins and even the special editions. So that on top of no way to differentiate hobby boxes from retail boxes keeps this set low. I personally think it is still undervalued considering its age but thats just my opinion.
I actually have a lot fonder memories of playing YuGiOh as a kid than I do for pokemon. I just started buying up some old cards I used to cherish, as my mom left them behind in a move many years ago. I have 1st ed. Jinzo and 1st ed Blue eyes coming in today! I am very excited!
Konami seems to go strong at the western collectors as of late. First Starlight Rares, now english Collector’s rares (and let’s not forget the 20th secret rares we never got in the west). Any idea which of these three rarities have a future, and which will go up in value the most?
I can tell for a fact that some 20th secret rares have already decupled in value, which is completely insane considering the short time span. I’m not so sure about Starlight Rares and Collector’s Rares though. Starlight Rares started super expensive but haven’t grown as much. Maybe that’s because so far there are almost no nostalgic monsters among the Starlight Rares. English Collector’s Rares on the other hand are too recent to foresee their future.
What about you? Will you buy any of those?
Personally don’t think starlights look that good. Was a big fan of ghost rares but those got the axe. Starlights are mainly meta cards so idk how the value of those will go after they arent used in the meta anymore.
if they keep printing popular cards in collectors rare those will always have value.
not familiar with the OCG market at all so cant comment on the 20th rares.
Wanted to show off the highlights of my recent PSA returns with Ludkins They were submitted in January but because of COVID-19 took until July to complete. Was honestly shocked that these out of the other cards I sent in were the ones that ended up getting 10s.
I am def not the person to ask so up to you. I don’t collect psa cards. I am a binder collector so if you want to keep them then I personally wouldn’t but if you want to sell them, 100% get them graded.
What does everyone think about Ten Thousand Dragon? Personally do not care much about it since the card itself sucks and is not an iconic card. I understand why it’s valuable but I do not know that it will be super valuable in the future
I really like the artwork and like the unique quality of it… but I’m waiting until the price drops a little bit before I get a copy. I’m definitely a sucker for one-offs.
Unfortunately don’t think the price will drop. There is only 10k of them so unless someone is dumping it I would try to hold out for market if not more money.
They’ve been trending downward since the set is releasing soon - I think there will be a time after the initial hype of the set where it’ll dip a bit more, but I think its odds are like any other starlight rare. I haven’t seen any credible sources on the 10k copies, but wouldn’t be surprised given that pull rate is like 1:4 cases lol
