Skyridge or Aquapolis would be great as I love the holos artwork, 1st edition base set would be huge as well, but I would love to open one of those Japanese starter decks boxes from the very beginning, filled with no rarity cards. Imagine pulling a no rarity Charizard, very first ever charizard printed

Tough question I have 3 options any of which I would be happy with.

Japanese Neo 4/Neo destiny as I never got to pull a shining card.

Base Set for the nostalgia.

Skyridge as the only really rare card I ever pulled as a kid was crystal golem and at the time I never even realised so to do that again knowing the rarity would be an awesome experience.

For me, just for nostalgia’s sake, I would say EX Legend Maker or Diamond and Pearl Mysterious Treasures.

When I first got into Pokemon in 2008, these were the most common booster packs to find in local stores (with a mix of DP Base, Secret Wonders, and Power Keepers). Not even caring about the money, I would just love to relive some of those memories by opening one of those again.

Got into PkMn in 1999 in Japanese, with Team Rocket and then Gym 2, so I’d crack a Team Rocket JP. Holo in every pack, and good art. Second to that, tied between Eng Neo Revelations, 1st ed (of course) and aquapolis. Decent art in both, but I never opened a single aquapolis pack. my issue with the old WotC boxes is that your hopes can be so high and the nostalgia so strong, but the disappointment can be as well… So, I’d probably go with the Aquapolis, but only after the JP rocket.

Since not specified, 1st box would be tied between cracking JP Rocket, and Drafting Acacyn Restored. NICE draft experience in that set!

I’d have to go with EX Dragon Frontiers. Incredible artwork, fantastic selection of ex cards, and the chance to pull some amazing gold stars. Close runners-up would probably be EX Dragon and EX Unseen Forces.

First, I wanna say this is a great question!

Thinking about the opening experience, you want to choose a set where A) you get reverse holos and B) the reverse holos mean something. So that takes us down to legendary collection, e-series and ex era.

You want as many top tier hits as possible. You only get a couple ex per box and while the holos in ex era are gorgeous, they don’t hold the weight of WOTC holos. That takes us down to legendary collection and e-series.

I’m going to remove legendary collection just due to the reprint nature of it.

You want a shot at pulling a crystal card so that removes Expedition.

Finally we get down to Aquapolis or Skyridge. Aquapolis is actually my favourite set of all time, but I’m much closer to completing it, so in this situation, I have to choose Skyridge.

I would love to open anything from ex era really. It’s so hard to choose which set though. If I didn’t have a full set of reverses already I would go with Emerald as it’s my favorite set of all time. But tbh I would love to open a box that would have a chance for a Gold Star pull as I never pulled one from a pack. Delta Species could be amazing to open I feel like.
