Doubt it, manectric will be rising in value because of ORAS hype and electric lovers liking him.
Manectric hardly gets any merch.
Im sure there are better electric types out there. What about Ampharos. Emolga was okay and is a cute pokemon but hardly worth anything. There are soooo many good pokemon to choose from I hope they are start putting in ore quality pokemon for the sets besides the main pokemon.
What about Igglybuff?
Spewing out a random pokemon doesn’t justify the fact that Manectric doesn’t deserve it’s chance to shine.
Whilst Manectric is an odd choice. Manectric itself is not bad, what is bad is Mega Manectric it is the WORST looking Mega…it is just atrocious.

There had to be better options for psychic expansion, Alakazam-EX + Mega Alakazam-EX would’ve been fantastic.
You seem to have forgotten there are a ton of ugly megas.

People have their likes and dislikes. No need to point fingers at a specific pokemon calling it ugly or not as cool as the others. I’m just happy we don’t have a card that has gotten 2+ UR releases already. -cough Ampharos-

We also got a manectric ex but who cares that’s old sets. I get both are megas but I feel the choice in exs is lack luster. Everyone’s entitles ti their options and that’s mine.
I miss the ex series where we got more pokemon for exs.
Manectric has been featured once.

Ergo, I figure instead of a pokemon that has had an UR the last 2 “eras” of cards, it is best to let someone else get the spotlight. Personally I like both megas, but am glad that Manectric (honestly a cooler pokemon in comparison to the cute and fluffy ampharos) is featured with Gengar.
That’s my opinion, like you said we are entitled to it.
I guess more of my frustration with this set coming out is I thought it would have Alakazam to go with Gengar. While I am not as big of a fan of Mega Alakazam. That and Like I mentioned above I wish we’d get more ex pokemon like the old ex series. That’s just my opinion on it. I’m sure we’ll both enjoy gengar.
None of you understand the deep pain I feel as a result of Alakazam EX’s absence.
I’m devastated.

There was never going to be another Psychic type Ultra in the set. It steals away from Gengar’s presence as THE feature Psychic type of the Psychic set. In the same sort of idea, we weren’t going to get a Darkness type like Absol, because that would jeopardize Gengar by hitting its weakness. Similarly, Metal wasn’t getting featured in the set because it resists Psychic.
The only time they DO actually have set features taking away from one another is if there is a larger theme going on too. Like the Kanto trio of Mega-EX’s in XY (Venusaur pounding Blastoise’s Weakness) or the general “hooray for XY!” with Xerneas and Yveltal being featured together even though Xerneas resists Yveltal. Now that I think about it, these situations actually don’t even exist outside of the international sets, since they were two sets, being Collection X and Collection Y.
I think Mega Alakazam will be one of the ones they just slip into a set, like Kangaskhan or Heracross
