Worlds 2020 is in.......

Yet this year gons of people hogged hige tables or 7 by 7 ft spaces w trade stock. besides selling also wasnt there a rule "no excessive trade stock" was not enforced but for the better i guess so we can trade more.

Is there already a date or month known? I most likely will go, since London isn’t too far away. Usually World Championships are near the end of the Summer (July/August/September), right?
Btw, when/where would we be able to buy tickets to enter?

Or am I asking all these questions too early since it will still take almost an entire year?

Greetz,

@quuador, I wish they would release the dates, but unfortunately they don’t until around February. Typically the event is the 3rd week of August. I would imagine the 21-23rd for 2020.

Usually the Pokemon World Championships are around the 2nd or 3rd weekend in August
I wish that they would announce dates when they announce the location! Unfortunately the dates don’t come out until February.

Tickets for spectator passes go for sale during the first week in July!
At least they have the past 2 years!

Hope this helps!

Already here, when do they start selling badges/passes?

Nice, that’s where the London Comic Con is held annually. It’s a very big place. Pretty easy to get to on the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) too.
What’s the process for attending? Do we need tickets?

@pichufan @0ean

Yes, you will need spectator badges to get in to the venue. These usually go on sale in June-July and are $10 each. You should buy them as soon as they are announced, someone will post here when they’re out I’m sure. It’s not like they run out in 10 minutes, but it’s always good to grab them early.

What time does world’s finish on the Sunday normally? I’m looking at hotels potentially, but I live just outside London at the moment so wondering if it’s worth getting three nights or going home on the Sunday.

The championship matches are on Sunday and it is usually done around midday, but sometimes the E4 gang will hang out after that.

Should be epic if i went this would be my first ever attendance. Have illustrators visited worlds in the past and signed cards or something? Compared to Dallas I’m sure there are a lot more vendors and stuff.

There are no vendors at worlds outside the official Pokemon Center, or at least there never have been. Usually they will have a few illustrators/Pokemon people there for autographs, I believe last year it was Ishihara, Masuda, and Ohmori but I may be wrong on the last one. Year before they had Arita so illustrators do come.

Looking into hotels and Flights as we speak, plan on being there.

Look forward to meet people from E4 for the first time.

Nice! Thanks for the 411 hopefully I’ll be able to make it.

Hmmm…if I can get my wife to cancel an Alaskan cruise I could swing it. We’ll see;)
