Why Should Someone Live In Your Area?

Get out.

Not sure where you are but if you are anything north of Maryland, coming south down the east coast to Maryland would be warmer. Winters here get into the single digits (negatives with wind chill), but its honestly bearable. Marylands one cool feature is that from alot of areas in the state you can reach a major city, a beach, or mountains within a 2 hour drive. And that’s all within the state too. Delaware, which boasts no sales tax, is close to alot of parts of Maryland.

If you’re into history, Maryland has A TON of historical places. Its loaded with towns and landmarks with very awesome rich history.

Alot of places in Maryland are real cheap to live. Especially the eastern shore of Maryland where I live. I bought a fully remodeled 3 bedroom 2 full bathroom house on .54 of an acre for $145,000. My mortgage is 972 a month.

We have a 6% sales tax though which is pretty trash.

If I had to recommend you a state though, I’d tell you Texas! They have no state income tax, and Pantera is from there! They also are known to be nice and warm.

Down in South Louisiana the saying is we only have 2 seasons, Summer and a month of winter.

Funny you mention Louisiana, one of my buddies is from there, and I told him I wanted to head somewhere south. He was adamant that southern hospitality and the weather in Louisina is overrated. His words not mine, but it went ‘Southerners will be nice to your face but talk shit about you as soon as you leave, in Iowa they just don’t like you and you know it. The weather is unbarrably humid that you step out and are sweeting, while in Iowa even though it’s cold you can still be outside.’

He’s a bit hyperbolic, because last year we’ve had a few deaths because people stayed outside in the cold and froze… but I have decided to avoid a hot and humid area.

I still appreciate the input. I just found it funny that someone mentioned Louisiana after talking to him.

Yikes.

I’ll just say that I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I love it down here!

I notice no one has recommended my good ole state of Alabama…

Yep I don’t think I would either! :joy:

Okay, as someone who lives in Alabama, you have to admit that at least the part about the humidity is correct.

Oh yea the humidity isn’t fun, but I’d much prefer humidity than frigidness
