One thing that I enjoy about Efour is the possibility to customize your profile with your Pokémon.
Since I like psychology (I´m always analyzing behaviour), I also like to look at the Pokémon others use for this. I think it often says something about your character, whether you´re aware of this, or not.
For example, the reason I like Psychic types is obvious, given my interests, and I like Water/Ice types because of love for swimming/the sea. Cold does something very beneficial for your mind. The sea, especially the cold deep sea, provides a sense of freedom. I like Scizor because I loved the Steel-type when it came out, and Scizor is my favourite. Nothing too deep there, just nostalgia.
So, why do you choose the Pokémon that you choose? What does it say about your personality?
Nice question!
I choose mine because I feel an affinity for both Grass and Psychic Pokemon. and I definitely wanted to include Celebi and the Gardevoir line which are my favorites.
I also decided to gave it a slight tilt towards Johto with Bellossom and Espeon, while Venonat is a Pokemon I find extremely funny (also linked to Psychic powers/Sabrina).
I then tried to arrange everything so it was aesthetically pleasing, so it creates a little arch if you look at their size.
Bulbasaur is obvious choice for me. Anime made it so special and one character I value a lot in a living thing is loyalty, and ash’s anime bulbasaur is like most loyal pokemon to him. So bulba is my boi definitely.
With that I also has some affinity towards grass types so yeah rowlet is taking the spot in profile too. For being good round owl boi
One interesting pick in my list is surskit. The first time I saw surskit I immediately adored it one reason being I never imagined surskit kinda water skating bug to be a pokemon and the idea of it’s existence impressed me a lot.
Espeon is my favourite eevolution and gardevoir is actually my regularly used pokemon in hoenn games. These both also there because of my favouritism towards psychic types.
Oshawott felt like the cutest otter and an only reason for me to watch black and white anime and it is there.
3) I’ve been collecting Pikachu for over ten years now, in all languages up to the 25th Pokémon Day, and after that date: 1) all English; 2) Base Set reprints in all languages/variations; 3) one of each non-English exclusive artwork. I feel like the large Gigantamax Pikachu, only because it is big, was the best to represent my almost 2k unique cards Pikachu TCG collection.
Eevee: self explanatory I think but Eevee is my favorite Pokémon
Piplup & cyndaquil: my two favorite childhood starters. Nostalgia train is real, because I remember just being blown away the first time I picked up G/S and D/P after the previous gens. I have a full set of arts and holos of the first D/P piplup card, which was also the first “cosmos” holo I’ve owned
Jirachi: jirachi is the quintessential “fairy” mythical Pokémon imo, and is relatively elusive. Unless you bought colosseum at a specific time, you couldn’t get one at all until gen 6 unless you went to specific events in Japan. Beyond that, also unless you lived in Japan or hacked, you couldn’t get a shiny one until relatively recently. I used one on my bdsp in game team and it has every ribbon in gen 8
Vivillon: I was fascinated by vivillon in gen 6 and spent hours and hours doing all the gts trades to get every form. In SV with the introduction of the postcard system I went and caught a complete set of shiny ones also. Vivillon is kind of useless competitively, but butterflies are dope
Spinda: gen 3 remains great for a lot of reasons but not the least for the cute and cool designs of some otherwise useless Pokémon. Spinda is interesting, having technically the most forms possible of any Pokémon including an extremely elusive “no spots” version. I have a full set of English spinda cards.
All the Pokémon are 4’11, one of my central collections. Other than Greninja the order is random.
Greninja is my favorite 4’11, and my signature Pokemon
Ludicolo- I love its energy and think it’s just a fun Pokemon, that’s often underrated.
Alakazam - just a very powerful cool design
Swampert- My starter in gen 3 the last video game I played. It is just the best all around Pokemon in the games. It’s a beast!
Gengar- I loved it is the anime. Still love it
Salamence - everyone needs to have a dragon on the team. And pseudo-legendary at that!
