Which is the most forgettable Gen 1 Pokemon?

The only thing that stopped blastoise rain dance.

I ran a do the wave deck also, it was a force to be reckoned with haha

To advocate for seaking being the most forgettable; In the tcg, arguably the best chase cards for a seaking collection would be an aquapolis or ex deoxys reverse holo. It seems even tcpi has forgotten about seaking.

There was literally a Seaking just printed in Twilight Masquerade
I even kept a copy in my odds 'n sods binder as I kinda liked the artwork

I agree that Weepinbell and Seaking are the weakest links.

When I was 7 I named one of my fish Seaking.
Lest we forget

Every pokemon gets printed eventually but if you’ve only got like 13 cards printed of you over a course of 27 years as a gen 1 pokemon, you’re pretty forgotten.

I don’t remember if it has been said already but to add against seaking it’s shiny is also quite underwhelming, i just evolved it in pokemon go and was quite disappointed since i didn’t remember how it looked like

It’s interesting just how aligned most people have been here! My thoughts were definitely that the answer lies somewhere between Seaking, Golduck and Lickitung.

Where people have mentioned the likes of Doduo, Tauros, Kingler, and Cloyster, I kind of get it, but at the same time I have stand-out memories of all these: doduo was everywhere after Celadon, Tauros gives me Safari Zone PTSD (and also that SZ episode), Kingler is one of my favourite Gen 1s, and good memories of Ash’s Kingler from the series. Likewise Cloyster is top 10 favourite from Gen 1 and strong memories of it from the anime and the Lorelei battle.

at least golduck has some big cards in the TCG

Misty’s Golduck is one of the most expensive cards out of gym challenge and that makes it pretty memorable since it’s one of the biggest hits out of a very important set
I dont think there is a single memorable seaking card

Depends. I personally will always remember the beautiful Himeno Seaking from Jungle and also the Miki Tanaka one from Revelation. But yeah, Seaking has never had a “big” card like a holo.

Hopefully it could get an illustration rare at some point with Seaking as part of a crazy underwater scene with loads going on.

Seaking card that may (somewhat) redeem it. Forgot all about this delightful Aquapolis Kizuki artwork

Seaking went from 0 JP holos to receiving 2 Master Ball reverse in a single era

Someone at Pokemon must have read this thread and remembered Seaking exists.

This just proves that Seaking is 151 and not Mew.

Seaking and every other gen1 ‘mon. Still at the top of most forgotten, even with some pity reverses.
