Where did all the PSA 10 Base Set 1st ed zards go?

So I haven’t looked in maybe a month but didn’t there use to be maybe 4-5 PSA 10 zards up almost all the time for maybe 20K - 50K BIN on eBay? I only see one now (Garys) for $35K…but I see no sold listings for any. Did they all take them down? Sell privately? Did it dry up all of a sudden? Does this mean that the next PSA 10 zard auction will break the record and bust past 20K you think?

They went into collections. This is a very natural progression. Those that want to sell it for $18k-$20k have done it already and now the ones that are available are looking to sell for more or not sell at all. We might probably see a price increase in the next one that goes to auction :blush:

That’s why they dried up – people are hoping that by not selling/pulling off listings it’s going to set the next auction up for a record-breaking price.

Also because prices have been trending downwards/stagnating and no one really wants to willingly sell anything in this kind of environment, especially the card of the Pokemon TCG.

I forecast another epic year for Pokémon card prices. Why you say? I just made it up. Buy them while they are low!

Private sales. I know of at least one within the past month, but there’s probably been a couple more.

I did buy two more privately but, being horribly superstitious, I’m reselling the 13th one. Just this week I got two offers of 24 and 25k cause that one is very nice and thick. Tempting offers but I believe this one deserves a premium.

Would make more sense to pass the curse of #13 onto someone that’s willing to trade a bunch of stuff at a premium, in my opinion.
