I’ve seen sales when the boom was at its peak of an 8 selling between 3-7k. But after the boom it went down to 2k. Before Logan Paul it was below 2k

Yes but those holding 1st ed 8s don’t want to sell for under 13-15k. I tried to buy one in early 2022 and no one would sell for asking price. It became too much of a head ache so I just did shadowless in 8s

I’ve seen a few go at auction under $10K on occasion over the past year, but that’s about it. Most are BIN/fixed price listings and sometimes are way overpriced like $15K+ 
. I think it’s kind of funny because pre-2020 the multiplier on Charizard compared to even Blastoise or Venusaur was never this crazy. In late 2022 I managed to get a 1st Ed thick stamp Blastoise in EX/NM condition for $600ish, which is nearly 1/10 what I paid for the same condition Charizard. Makes no sense really. PSA 10 is the same story, Blastoise seems to be $20-$30K, Charizard $200-$300Kish although I haven’t looked for confirmed/paid sales in while, I just know the price difference is massive now. I think a lot of reason is you have cross collectors from other hobbies specifically buying Charizard to ‘diversify’ their investments and then also just the nature of the post Logan Paul era.

I’ve been watching the Starmie card for awhile and saw the PSA 8 for the same price as a raw card so grabbed that. Not quite sure on why it’s an 8, must be a hidden scratch somewhere or something. Giratina card puts me at 3 more left to finish Crown Zenith, need Mewtwo VSTAR, Arceus and Dialga. Will be the first card I take out of a case.

This was paid, it went to Germany I believe. So was my 12k psa 9 1st ed Venusaur (buyer and I still make jokes about it), 25k 1st ed psa 10 raichu, and piles of other obscene pricing like this. Bought that one I believe like 6 to 8 weeks before selling for around 3k. This hobby will never see this type of obscene amounts of free tendies in that short of a time frame again.

There were two other ones listed on ebay for cheaper amounts, I was the only one who did worldwide shipping. Honestly I was surprised to get that much that fast, but nothing made sense in that two month timeframe. People would buy stuff off you then message you 2 days later to change the shipping address because they had already flipped it. Also, never underestimate the power of being willing to sell internationally.
