Sold Mewtwo last November for a personal grail. Definitely one of the hardest cards to let go of in a 10. Awesome pairing

Indeed!
Distribution numbers for the Korean one is probably a third of the jpn Masked Royal (which is funny enough a third of the Chinese)

One of them is technically still a February purchase but shipping times are not always on your side. I cannot make dents in filling gaps in the binder when they keep hitting me with non-standard cards. Like this Organised Play Mega Venusaur EX and this Enhanced Booster Box Topper… Wth are Enhanced Booster Boxes anyway?! (Have I been out of the loop to long?)

A lovely pair. Always loved this card. Finally getting around to picking up a minty version to go along with my rough OG unlimited one.

I don’t know if that’s because of Pokopia, but I really wanted Ditto cards :face_with_peeking_eye:

I hope I can get more but they are not as cheap anymore…

Super happy to get these 2 sequential Snorlaxes, pop 6 and 53 respectively. Now I’m 2 steps closer to a PSA 10 Snorlax masterset!

Awesome! Great pickups!

Do I dare to ask, any luck with the 207/BW-P?

Cheers!

Story time! I collected Pokémon since childhood, having cards all the way from Base Set through Diamond & Pearl. Sadly, I made the decision to give away my collection to my neighbor’s grandkids about 15 years ago.

My mom kept 3 cards from my collection. As a kid, all the cards we owned were mainly pulled from packs or from our local TCG stores. One of these cards was the Leafeon LV X. from Majestic Dawn, which I am 100% certain I pulled myself. Looking at this card when getting back into the hobby, I realized this card was one of the chases in the set. Not only did I pull the chase card, but it also had 2 swirls! (top-left and top-right)

As a kid I used to go to my friend’s house and we would play with our cards on his garage floor, no sleeves or anything, and just show them off to each other. Below is my Leafeon LV X from childhood (IMAGE WARNING)

The reason for this post is my long-term collecting goal is to have all cards from Base Set through Diamond & Pearl that I consider achievable (basically RIP gold stars). For my binder, I wanted to use my childhood card, but I also wanted a nicer copy.

I present to you, the double-swirl Leafon LV X. I just purchased, like the card from my childhood. (Flashbang alert, CGC scan sorry)

My other eBay bargain arrived yesterday and the seller even included a bonus free card. I assume it was intentional given the move name on the card?

Anyway, enjoying working my way through buying singles to fill up my Pokémon Go collection

PoGo is the best! I spent WAY to much money on the set when it came out, back when you could find it in all stores. I won’t give a figure, but in my PoGo master set, I only had to buy two of the rainbows and one full art to complete it (my wife and I pulled all of the reverse holos ourselves out of packs..).

Are you grabbing all of the promos too? They are really neat.

Edit: I saw your post. The sealed boxes are so nostalgic to see! Just 2 months ago my local Best Buy had the Dragonite box that has the promo and the plastic poke ball inside. Just one, not sure how but I did buy it.

What did/do you like about the set? Great to hear more appreciation for it. I know it’s not the best but the nostalgia and love of PoGo and the low cost is what drew me to it as a jump off for collecting.

Definitely looking at getting the promos and a few kind souls here pointed me in the direction of the Simplified Chinese cards too!
