What's your most recent purchase?

Had to do some shopping early in the morning and while I was visiting my local supermarket I noticed magazine/tcg section had couple 151 mini tins, first time I’ve seen these products here since the release of set ( collection boxes like Poster and Zapdos EX have been more frequent sight on shelves ).

Since today was my birthday I wanted to try my luck and outcome was much better than I anticipated. Gotta take another trip there on weekend and see if they’ve restocked more products.

Such a cool card to have autographed. A less known promo.

Thanks to the recent favorite card polls I learned about this Pokemon Center Skytree Rayquaza and figured I had to pick one up!

Never seen that Ray before but it looks brilliant!

Awesome! This one and the Nobunaga promo are the 2 Ray cards I want and haven’t gotten around to!

Is the Ekans on the leftward-most tin trying to strangle a baby carrot?

Jokes aside: those are so cool!

My first signed card from attending the Galatcg event in Germany. It was really nice to see a master like Arita work up close and go about signing cards. He was super super chill and very accommodating to requests. I was a bit in two minds on what card I wanted to sign but in the end decided to go with the classic option. I am very happy with how everything turned out.

The event itself was well managed. It was smaller on scale (in my opinion based on some of the other Pokemon gatherings in Netherlands) but was extremely well co-ordinated. There was a lot of lot of focus on the services that you could get if you are trying to grade your cards from Europe and/or use the vault services, which I felt was good to see for collectors here who want to grade their cards.

Very surprised to see a lot of One Piece being opened, sold and traded. It was really the hot thing. When in the trading area, a lot of the requests were if you had One Piece cards up for trade. Also I think the loudest pop at the event was when a guy pulled the Gear 5 Luffy card. I think One Piece was on par if not more than Pokemon at the event.

Finally the main highlight of the event for me was to meet fellow collectors. It was really awesome to be able to meet, talk and hang out with so many people who are in this hobby with you. I met a few fellow E4 members as well and it was really awesome to talk and share your journey with them. Meeting them was the best part of my day and it was well worth the trip.

Cheers!

Corrected damage Neo Typhlosion. Little right heavy and a small horizontal print line only visible in perfect lighting. Best one I’ve found so far for a 10 shot. (If you do have one though, please hit me up )

As soon as I discovered that this existed, I took a leap without a safety net. The best Pokémon TCG packaging in history

Got the Dark Rush secret Gardevoir!

Now my next chase would likely be the Gardevoir and Sylveon GX from Night Unison.

What is that norse character card in the middle?

That is one of Arita’s art cards. He usually has one for each event he attends and would ideally like to do 12. You can read more about it here on his website: ART CARDs by Mitsuhito Arita – MITSUHIRO ARITA / WORKS

Indeed. Arita is planning to release several Art cards throughout the year and the one I have posted is an event exclusive limited copy which you could get along with the signed card.

Cheers!
