I absolutely love their statues. I have roughly 25 of their statues in my collection

Came back from a recent Asia trip. Persuaded a seller to sell me just the cards from a Chinese Classic collection without that huge box eating my suitcase space for 600 HKD less.

Did also buy the Simplified Chinese 1 year box, which was absolutely a pain to haul back.

Lastly my MTG 30th Anniversary luck continued with me pulling a Mox Sapphire and…2 more time vaults!

I have 3 now lol. Maybe I should get one autographed. Magic artists are generally a lot more accessible than Pokemon ones for autos…

Thank you! I agree, the reverse holo looks really cool. I just wish I wasn’t shipping to the PWCC vault because I’d love to see it in person!

Not really a purchase by me, but a B-day gift. I was really excited to have this postcard set in my collection! Especially the two by Komiya.

I think I accidentally deleted my post from a few days ago, but here’s a new pic with a new addition.

So I purchased this yesterday to crack and complete by base set unlimited binder:

But then overnight started to thing it was to high of a grade to crack compared to much of my binder. (Charizard and Venusaur are mine from childhood so plenty played)

So instead I purchased this today to crack:

Front looks pretty nice but back has much more wear.

So long story short I am now the proud owner of 2 Blastoises. :joy:

Has anyone else done something similar?

I usually have cracked out grades 5-8 range for binder sets. It’s a good way to save money when building up binder collections. I don’t like cracking 9s or higher usually, at least for most vintage cards. Those tend to be very clean examples with just minor flaws and make nice collector pieces.

Yeah, I have noticed for certain cards (Blastoise in this example) that it is often cheaper to buy the graded card to crack than get a raw card.

I got this one for $49 while I have been outbid on raw cards in worse condition multiple times now.

It seems like it is really on a case by case basis.

I’ve cracked 6-9 for 1st edition Jungle/Fossil and JP Base. I’m honestly never going to look at it or appreciate it in a slab but I look through my binders weekly so I don’t mind cracking a high grade.
