It opened my eyes when i saw someone paying
1 million usd to upgrade his cgc 2.0 comic for a 2.5 grade.
Buy the card, not the grade as people on this forum say so often.

In pokemon we are so spoiled, everyone is tryharding for psa 10 and black labels but these psa 7/8 card i get everytime i am suprised by how good they look for almost 1% of the price.

Trying to get this set together is definitely the most fun i have had in a while because i dont expect these cards to be perfect and they dont need to be.

It’s what happens when you use a grading system designed for 80 year old baseball cards for modern tcg.

If they designed the scale around pokemon the average 9 would probably be a 7 tbf.

The impossible barrier that is the L2 houndoom variants is finally crumbling. Only 1 to go

(lets just ignore the fact that unlimited reverse l2 is easily the rarest houndoom in existence)

Do you think L2 ud is rarer than XY8 ud? I know its much harder with dark type pokemon to find that “1” symbol.

100% yes specifically for the reverses from l2. I was able to pick up 3/4 of the xy8 unl in psa 10 condition by just blindly buying off of japanese sites and having them come mixed in with 1st ed copies. Whereas I havent even seen a listing in any condition for a reverse l2 in >1yr. I think the holo is probably comparable rarity to xy8 though.

They are still extremely rare for a set card but unlimited l2 reverses are just on another level entirely

I also agree for L2 being rarer than XY sets. My experience is XY3 and XY7. Same story, have found multiples of unlimited in XY sets compared to just 1 of L2.
