Unlimited too, that’s a rare find!

I didn’t realise until post purchase that it’s about 1/4th the pop of 1st ed so was an added bonus. I think my brain is stuck thinking about how rare E1 is that I don’t compute E2-E5 unlimited as rare at all.

So these guys were used to demo e-reader at E3. The holes punched in them was for lanyards. Luckily, these sets were never placed on a lanyard and I think they’ll grade quite high.

There were two different circulations for this card. Some were con-floor and some were literally on-stage presentation-only. The non-glossy version were the ones Ishihara held at one point.

In the image you can see “American Back” , “Glossy Back” and a number. That number is the type of printing paper and thickness used. The Glossy type is thicker and a bit more common these were basically the Media Factory era Japanese settings. The “American” “Non-Glossy” are more valuable and Wizards of the Coast settings. Its widely assumed to have been Pokemon of Japan attempting to see if they could do Pokemon TCG in America without Wizards of the coast, thus the Japanese print styling on the American type card. But yeah, 11690 and 11685 are the main indicators of the printing type.

Some purchases from a Buyee order that came in some time back.

I picked up some unlimited WCP cards for fun, and also managed to find an unlimited E1 Charmander in a bulk listing. It’s in pretty bad condition, but it came with other other beat-up e-reader cards that will hopefully come in use if I decide to collect Aquapolis and Skyridge in Japanese. The Wooper and Quagsire promos are just adorable!

Also picked up some more Keiko Fukuyama postcards. All of these are just super cute :slightly_smiling_face:

These are amazing pieces of history. I’ve been interested in these since I first learnt of them around 2011. Great pickup!

Cool! How rare is 1st Ed. Jungle cards compared to the base set ones? I know for base set the premium you pay for 1st Ed vs unlimited is insane, is it more reasonable for 1st edition jungle?

Roughly 3/4x the price of 1st Ed to Unlimited

Won an auction during the week for some L1/L2 cards where the seller reached out to me (I’ve previously bought from him) saying I overpaid as the condition wasn’t mint (paid $15).

I wasn’t worried as the reason I purchased them was for a binder collection I’ve started which he was unaware of the value (not monetary).

The reason:

First page almost complete.

Nothing mind-blowing, but did grab a couple of small bits from the LGC today…

One of which being a NM corrected Neo 1 Pichu!

What’s the correction?

The initial Japanese release included ‘electrical’ (電気 (denki)) in Pichu’s description. A rarer corrected version, nicknamed ‘Dengeki Pichu’, had this text changed to read ‘electric shock’ (でんげき (dengeki)) instead.

huge score at $10
