That’s one of the best bang for your buck purchases you can make in pokemon! It’s funny you mentioned that video, I tried to show people some affordable options to collect, and it ended up bumping the price. 
Since then it’s cooled off and is pretty reasonable!

I bought my copy a few days ago too. Can’t wait for it to show up! I’ve been noticing less and less available and the price just getting higher and higher. That’s a great pickup!

I don’t think eBay is the right place for these. Cheapest copy I found on Mercari currently: 最終値下げ ポケモンカードオフィシャルブック2000 初版 旧裏 ポケカ レア - メルカリ . If you’re patient and willing to settle for a creased cover & no obi, bookmark a search, you can probably get one even cheaper. I buy cards from Japan anyway so with combined shipping & import costs I really only paid ~225 USD for my copy.

Bought this grey stamped machamp off eBay for about $16. When it arrived, I realized it also is offset printed to the left a bit (white line on the right side, just before the yellow border).
Double misprint!
