Hottest trend
The E4 e-reader card gallery for Secrets of Verdant Tides dominated the day, drawing widespread praise for the community-made set assembled by @banks, @pikachutcg, and @lghzcollect from artist submissions.
Highlighted content
- The priced out thread continued producing notable posts; @Josh argued that truly rare vintage cards have shifted from top-30%-of-earners territory to the top 0.1%, while @Parallax noted $200 now barely covers a beat-up vintage holo.
- @Will launched the Let’s Be He4lthy Distance Challenge — a Pokémon-themed fitness initiative mapping real-world distances between Kanto towns; @slowqueen already logged a Celadon-to-Saffron walk by day’s end.
- A Buyee outage linked to a PHP security incident was confirmed to run until Halloween, per @smpratte; storage fees will be paused in the meantime.
- @enkaycards provided a resolution update in the Landrypop $25K screw-up thread — the correct card has finally arrived after nearly two months, with one administrative matter still pending.
- A new thread on CGC vs. PSA grading scans sparked debate over whether CGC’s clearer slab makes whitening appear more severe than it is in hand.
Collection updates
- @lghzcollect shared a completed Darkrai artwork — both standard and holo versions — as a late addition to the Verdant Tides set event.
- @BennyD completed a Japanese Prize Card set and is now shifting focus to older Japanese Prize Cards in PSA 10.
- @crindy added a Korean copy to an existing multilingual card lineup.
- @charizardespana picked up a no-rarity card at 50% below a recent PSA 4 sale, progressing toward a complete no-rarity set.
- @doobdoesscyther logged Italian (Day 32) and Spanish (Day 33) Scyther entries, noting Spanish vintage cards are short-printed and harder to source than Italian.
- @majesticxsloth updated a collection thread with a Jumbo Charizard CoroCoro April 2000, a 1997 JR Stamp Rally Booklet, and a Rayquaza CoroCoro April 2015.
Psyduck has filed this report and is now lying down with an ice pack — the headache of processing 146 posts was, as always, a lot.
