Thought this could be a cool little thread for those who like opening packs and not just buying the card.

I’ll go first.

January of 2023, I found some Eeveelution boxes at Walmart (I am guessing the last wave of them) and decided to open up everything in 4 Vaporeon boxes. And apparently, I opened some vivid voltage as well.

Pulled this guy and was STOKED. Loved this Alt art and I wouldn’t have bought it outside of opening packs (still kinda wanted the Japanese)

Well fast forward a couple months and got him back from grading

Fast forward a couple weeks ago when I opened some more fusion strike from some Aldi tins and pulled him AGAIN.

Long story short, if you want a Gengar VMax, send me your fusion strike packs.

I recently went to a game store with a friend, and we decided to buy some Scarlet and Violet card packs. I was absolutely ecstatic to pull this card

Due to chasing an uncommon card, I was in the rather unusual situation of hoping for my pack to be light. Can’t complain too much that it wasn’t though, that Yveltal does have a nice artwork.

I was able to pull the Espeon Ex alt art along with a master ball rotom in the same pack!

Also pulled a full art trainer in the same box.

I already submitted it through GameStop to be graded so no picture sadly lol

While everyone is chasing all of the Eeveelution SIRs, all I really wanted from Prismatic was the Gold Pikachu. Overpaid for two elite trainer boxes at my LCS today because I was feeling impatient and wanted to open some packs with my wife -

Ripped some Prismatic Evolutions with the girlfriend, and it didn’t disappoint!

No Sunbreon, but getting this Flareon was awesome

Earlier this week I received my order for Heat Wave Arena booster boxes, my plan was to open 2 of them yet I wasn’t ready for the ride they offered.

Really good selection of AR cards, double Greedent feels like a hint from universe that now it’s good time to stop opening especially after receiving following SR/SAR cards.

First box included Cynthia’s Garchomp ex 087/063 which was fantastic start for set. First pack in second box included Ethan’s Adventure 089/063 and in final packs I also got Cynthia’s Garchomp ex 080/063, first time when this has happened to me with japanese sets. Feel so blessed right now.

My girlfriend just pulled this on her second prismatic pack ever… I’ve opened 50ish packs and only hit one gold card. Absolutely no IRs or full art trainers.
