I recently finished three goals, so one goal for 2019 is to keep them finished with the upcoming releases:
Complete National Index including all forms available on TCG cards. With the addition of the Russian white-winged Vivillon and Blacephalon it’s now complete, but perhaps Meltan and Melmetal cards will soon be released, or new forms become available on cards. Also, if I recall correctly generation 8 will also be released in 2019.
All English and Japanese Full Art Supporters. I have the last three cards incoming from the Lost Thunder set (first order got lost, so have to wait for new order to arrive…) But when the Team Up set will be released in English there will be a bunch of new ones to add.
Mimikyu collection. Got the last four cards incoming, but with Team Up will be released in English, Korean and other foreign languages, I will have a lot more to add again since there are four Mimikyus in that set…
There are two collections which are almost complete, so I hope to find the missing card(s) as well this year:
Moltres WotC #21 artwork variations (including sealed and PSA-10). I’m only missing the Australian Game Boy Color sealed variation. So I really hope I’m able to find that one in the near future. I also have some of the English ones at BGS for grading right now, so let’s hope at least one 10 returns from that as well (more a gimmick than collection goal however).
Seviper collection. Only need two more to complete it, which are the Japanese unlimited edition World Championship Pack Seviper and Battle Frontier cards. I also hope to find these in the near future. And just like the earlier mentioned collections I’ll also buy any new Seviper releases that might occur.
As for my last Pokémon-related collection, it’s one without an end. I still need about 65 more to complete it right now (and already have over 1150 unique ones), but with the mascotte of Pokémon you know releases will keep occurring multiple times a month…
Pikachu collection. Of course I hope to one day complete it including all Art Academy Pikachus, SNAP Photo Contest Pikachu, all Sample Pikachus, etc. etc. But for now I’ll just try to keep up with all new releases; and hopefully I’m able to find some of the foreign Reverse Holos I’m still missing as well. Currently have the Mexican/Argentina exclusive Spanish HGSS Reverse Holo incoming, but there are still a few more I still need (German Next Destinies RH, Italian Mysterious Treasures RH, Italian Stormfront RH), as well as the last missing Teach Set card. With Pikachu it’s sometimes already hard to keep up with new releases, though. There are four in the Team Up set, and Japanese and Korean promos are released pretty regularly lately…

@smaili, I also like the look of the Dragonball Super TCG. I recently placed an order for the signed Special Rare cards from the Tournament of Power set. They’re beautiful! Interested to see how the TCG progresses.
Totally agree! The artwork is really well done and some of their chase cards are pretty tough to pull. There’s only a couple shops in the SF area that carry their product but I’m hoping it gains enough traction that more stores pick it up
My goal remains the same basically. I want to collect every english Charizards in PSA/BGS 9+ condition. I also started a collection of every english Secret Rare Trainer. I have 54 different as of now, but i’m putting this on hold. They add too many for each new set now. If it was only 2-3, I’d continue to add to this collection.
I just completed base unl PSA 9 holos, I have 4 or 5 holos left I need to complete PSA 9 1st edition rocket, then my new goal is PSA 9 1st edition jungle holos! Happy new year guys
I might aim low with this, but I’m looking to finish my ungraded (NM or better) collection of unlimited cards up until the Gym sets. I’d probably be able to finish up until Neo as well if I’d wanted to, but I’d rather wait for cheaper offers to appear than to buy the first missing cards I see for a heftier amount.
January:Finish of my unlimited WotC common collection (111 e-series cards)

March - December:Get the last 34 pre-Neo rares
Get the last 47 pre-Neo holo rares
Should I accomplish my goal before deadline, I’ll expand either my fresh Zorua collection, or my unsealed booster collection.
I need more Media Factory cards. Wouldn’t mind finding a nice Fan Club Magikarp to start things off! Aside from old schools I’ve missed out on a lot of really nice S&M singles, so I might start there. Ahh man it’s a never ending journey isn’t it?
Timing has to be tight to catch those deals on auctions, or browsing around.
Whatever catches my eye , at a good price at the time.
Usually always winning random auctions I save the most.
I try not to set goals, so that I will never be dissapointed.
Boring i know but i want to get a 1st edition zard. Low grade. Figure its a must have and ill never see one in person unless i buy one. Turn 30 this year and figure itll be a fun milestone.
