I’ve pulled two Charizards back in the day. The first was a 1st Ed Dark Charizard in a card shop. My grandparents were visiting and my Mom wanted to go shopping. My Mom and Grandma wanted to go into a clothing store so my Grandpa took my next door to a hobby/card shop. He bought me a pack and I opened it up in the store and boom. My second Charizard pull came from a third party repack of 6 unlimited base set boosters. I opened the last pack and found Mr. Zard. Now that I think about it, I haven’t opened a pack since then.

Recently bought some Japanese booster boxes. Never opened packs myself so I thought this would be a nice way to treat myself.
Got a Charizard & Reshiram GX 007/095 from the Double Blaze box 
.
First one was an unlimited holo Dark Charizard (still have it), second one was a first edition Blaine’s Charizard (traded it 
for something I can’t remember), third one was a Japanese regular art Charizard GX many many years later.
Talk about ending on a high note! 
I was lucky enough to pull an unlimited base Charizard out of its pack in my local game store back in the 90s. I still have it, along with the rest of the unlimited base set I completed back then.

I opened some power keepers packs as a kid and got the charizard.
Based on this I’m gonna go with Crystal Charizard – because it is rare, because it is Normal type, because it is shiny, because it does a lot of damage

I pulled this guy out of a pack from Toys R Us when I was a kid, first one I can remember. Unfortunately little me was not very kind to it

it was summer of 99’, i where in some fancy hotel with my parents and it was unlimited base set pack.
i traded it after 2 hours for a blastoise (that i own till this day).
no regrets LOL

Never pulled any as a kid. I think my first Charizard I pulled were from the Japanese Expansion Pack 20th Anniversary (CP6) set.

Base set unlimited Charizard on the playground when I was 10. Still have it.
Diamond and Pearl Secret Wonders is the one I remember! 
Maybe I pulled a base set one back when I was a kid, but I honestly don’t remember!

Little brother pulled Base zard, I stole it and traded it for a bunch of other base holos 
got cornered by the older kids. Me personally 1st would be evolutions zard holo

Base Set was the first Charizard I ever pulled from a pack, and then many years later when I opened my first ever pack of Evolutions I got the Base reprint Charizard holo which I couldn’t believe…and then the second time I opened some Evolutions packs I pulled the Base reprint Zard holo AGAIN, which was both awesome and hilarious to me.
Anyway I finally decided to get my original old Base Charizard graded this year just to preserve him and he ended up getting a PSA 6 which I think is pretty good considering younger me was not as careful with my cards as I am now lol.
