Green - Favourite “Pokemon Special” manga character. Tbh she’s the reason I like Leaf. Nothing more to say. Just wanted to contribute a little after being dead for months on end.

I also really like the idea in the first games of the fiery Red, vs the icecold Blue. This is shown in the animé too.

Karen is a favorite because of the mystery. Dark type, not much info, cool design. I also like Zinnia and N for similar reasons, but also because they appear as antagonists first, and then turn out to be an anti-hero rogues. Also cool poses on cards, like Karen. I feel that characters in PkMn tend to be a little one dimensional: You know who they are right away. No character arc. These two have a layer of mystery wrapped up in a cool package.

Absolutely Jessie and James. They have a great character development and are with us / Ash throughout the whole journey. They are actually great trainers and also Jessie I feel was a very underrated coordinator.

Haha, you´re definitely right. Brock has to have some excellent defense mechanisms to cope with the stress he is receiving.
I went by gen!
Gen 1: Red. Aura. OG. Elite trainer talent.
Gen 2: Silver. Cool design. Giovanni’s son. Kinda a jerk though. Only gen 2 mc with a card, though Ethan probably gets one in Battle Partners.
Gen 3: Zinnia. Cool storyline, good design, cards.
Gen 4: Cynthia. Iconic team, design, theme.
Gen 5: Iris, from gym leader to champ. Growth!
Gen 6: Valerie, cool design but not my fave gen.
Gen 7: Kukui. If not him, then Lusamine. Insane.
Gen 8: Bea, cool design, lots of good ones in gen 8.
Gen 8.5: Volo. Wasn’t a shocking twist but great design and throwback.
Gen 9: Larry. Relatable as an adult.

Yeah, I think Larry is the most interesting character from Scarlet & Violet. The way the´being slowly worn out as an adult´ is portrayed is very sad and funny at the same time.

Not my favorite, but Tobias is an absolute monster…for no reason?! Can anyone possibly come close to beating him in a 6v6?

I have to say, despite not really being among my favourite characters, I do understand it. D/P are the hardest games for a reason. Beating Bidoof´s and Geodudes through the whole game and then having to cope with that over-leveled Garchomp is no joke. I do miss the challenge it brought.
