What Pokemon are you "sick" of seeing?

Get ready to be sick of Meowscarada in the same time frame as Cinderace!

I actually had Meowscarada in the original post but didn’t want to distract from how much I can’t stand Cinderace!

I decided to add Meowscarada back. I was sick of it the first time I saw it!

They need to chill on Charizard, he’s great but he doesn’t feel special anymore.
Scarlet and violet as a whole have been a flop for me in terms of the new PokƩmon.
I hope the Cacnea line gets some love soon.

Rayquaza. Don’t get me wrong, one of my favorite Pokemon but it has literally appeared in a ton of non-TCG stuff recently including some Chinese Zodiac items. There have been multiple times where Magikarp will also be featured alongside it and I’m tired of seeing it instead of the one Pokemon actually inspired by Chinese Dragons. :expressionless:

Gardevoir, Mew, Gengar. All great PokĆ©mon but it’s time to let some others shine.

If you watched the anime, your mind would change on Cinderace. :upside_down_face:

I’m not sure how I feel about Cinderace and their trainer even after the anime

The supportive yet powerful soccer mom personality was neat and the evolution storyline was touching.

One Word: Pikachu. I hate that yellow rat. and wouldnt mind if he never existed. Ash’s pikachu makes my hatred for it worse.

Modern anything. I never get tired of WOTC cards and especially Charizard.

Saying ā€œModern Cardsā€ Is stupid. (No offense) I agree that wotc cards are better, but you shouldnt just not like something because its modern. Im not telling you to, but you should try being more open minded, youll find some really cool cards that way, and if you like wotc cards THAT much, try XY generations, or 25 anniversiarry. as gthey are reamkes

I know what I said, I don’t like most modern cards. It doesn’t matter that it’s newer, the card quality sucks, the new Pokemon names are lazy and unimaginative, it’s just my opinion. I don’t care about XY evolutions that much or the 25th anniversary. I have most of the cards that were reprinted that I liked from WOTC sets anyway.

In other words, anything after 2006 doesn’t interest me that much. There are some exceptions, like the new 151 set has some good artwork and there’s some Japanese cards that are modern that have some cool designs. They just don’t hit the same as WOTC to me.

I wouldnt mind charizard so much (in the tcg) if the other starters got equal treatment. The amount of shiny cards charizard will get with no blastoise or venusaur in sight. Venusaur finally got its first shiny card recently while charizard is up to like 10 different shiny cards.

Actually, this is no longer true, since they did (finally) release two more Mantyke cards in the Paradox Rift set.

Before that, it indeed only had a single English TCG artwork.

:100:% agree with this. I collect Pikachu TCG cards, and in 2019 a total of 233 Pikachu TCG cards were released… That’s about one every 1.5 days on average for the entire year. That year, plus the prices during the pandemic, defintely made collecting Pikachu a whole lot less fun for me (which is also why I don’t collect all languages anymore since Feb. 27th, 2021 - 25th PokĆ©mon Day).
I get it, Pikachu is the mascot, but they’re really went overboard with it these last ~5 years.

These are the amount of Pikachu TCG card releases for each year up to and including 2020 for anyone curious.
1996 1997 1998 1999 2000
4 7 14 35 61
2001 2002 2003 2004 2005
23 16 34 38 41
2006 2007 2008 2009 2010
39 40 48 44 61
2011 2012 2013 2014 2015
16 31 10 50 64
2016 2017 2018 2019 2020
123 144 75 233 143

For the later years I don’t keep track of all languages anymore.

So when I see it, I cringe? Or am bewildered?
As in, why does this even exist?
Well, if I ever see another Morpeko, especially the purple one it’ll be too soon!

How many electric rodent things do we need?! and such a boring, yet confusing and un-shapely design. Even then, Pikachu is really high on the list too, but this one just befuddles and bewilders and slightly upsets me.
:unamused: :triumph:

In person autograph cards for sale. Never liked In person sports cards so i guess it carried over to pokemon cards.

Anything mega, ultra, hyper, tera and in the future most surely giga, peta and exa is just cringe.

Eevee/lutions! Enough! Sylveon is one of the worst designs, and so are the grass/ice (those bangs…). Even vaporeon always looks silly. Also hate the idea of having to pay more for a card just because it’s an umbreon.

Charizard obviously. I would like to see Munchlax again, they haven’t been around since Sun & Moon I believe.

Charizard. I like Charizard but it’s a bit too much now.
