Hey everyone,
I was recently buying a collection and this rayquaza gold star was thrown in with it for free. The condition is pretty terrible but I only really deal with grading WotC stuff and anything pre 2003. I was just curious as to what this would grade, or if it has any value?
I’d say it’s worth $50+ as that’s about what the gold star Charizards in played condition sell for and I don’t think I would bother sending it in. Maybe PSA 2-ish?
I’ll probably just sell it, I just sent in a bulk submission and was considering sending it to see if it got a 1. But didn’t pull the trigger. I got a 1st ed base Nidoking with the same collection that was in a little better condition, but it made me so sad.
It does make you wonder WHAT people do with their cards. lol
I’m not sure if they would even give it a grade tbh. Also whoever buys this is probably going to stick it in a binder anyway so it’s a waste of time to get it graded.
I recently sold a Lugia from my childhood collection that I pulled myself. It had a large crease and my initials written on the back. I remember being sad about the crease as a kid but I guess things like that happen when kids play with cardboard even when they try to take care of it. We also haven’t had sleeves for our cards back then.
