After my unpopular opinion about Celebi cards, I’d like to share a similar feeling about… Gengar. I do appreciate many Gengar cards, but not enough to actually purchase one. None of them really give me… shivers. For instance, I just saw that story on IG featuring probably the two most sought-after Gengar cards. Well… I actually enjoy the background Gengar much more! I just wish a Gengar card could capture that vibe.

Yeah, but there’s still something missing on that card. Maybe give Gengar red blurry eyes, or make him float. I don’t know…
I’m a fan of the Japanese Sabrina’s Gengar, but I think these three easily come ahead of Skyridge. Vamx could even be my favourite. The Dark energy symbol in the negative space is the cherry on top!

That is quite cool, actually.
They probably won’t lean into anything edgy or horror-like. Wholesome, cute and family friendly is Pokémon’s go-to because it has the broadest appeal. Gengar is the goofy kind of mischief

Probably. But they could at least do something like what they did with that Froslass card, which is one of my favorite modern cards

I’m pretty sure Masaki Gengar is more sought out than Sabrina’s Gengar. Even if you’re an IG bro trying to show off the most expensive cards, Masaki is either #1 or #2 there (Skyridge and LC reverse might be higher now tho).
Still not sure why Sabrina’s Gengar is so popular…it’s just poorly scaled Sugimori stock art. Gengar looks so smol standing in all that empty space. The non-holo from the same set is a better depiction, I feel. The facial expression is up there with the Masaki.

I absolutely hate these Deluxe Boxes for Black Bolt White Flare.
If the packs had zero Common Uncommon Trainers, then they would be great.

Destined Rivals was a actual letdown for the hype it received.
Mewtwo is a pretty weak legendary and was a victim of power creep.
V’s were just a worse ex and should’ve been removed
Pokemon Adventures is a must read for any pokemon fan and will help you appreciate pokemon even more
