ex series stamped reverse holos are the best reverse holos of all English cards.
They are also regular holo, making “reverse holo” entirely a misnomer

I’ve had so many conversations about why they are called reverse holos and the only thing to defend it is that the place they are in packs before and after ex era gives reverse holos and people want continuity, which i completely understand since i too call them reverse holos because i love continuity

I’m ok with calling them reverse holos, but if we are discussing the actual aesthetic of true reverse holos, it just doesn’t apply. Basically it’s like saying the best reverse holos aren’t reverse holo.

The standard reverse Holo looks pretty good imo. But only if it’s got no scratches. It goes from good to garbage really fast

Liking because this is a truly unpopular opinon, at least in my book. 
- ALL my collections favor Rev Holo for the exact same reason. 
(Unless you’re talking about ex stamped “reverse holos”. I like Rusty’s term “parallel foil” instead. They’re often nauseating.

Agreed, for the most part. But I think the English reverse designs have been pretty awful lately. S&V is better than S&S, but still not usually better than the regular version. Those Japanese Pokéball reverses on the other hand…

I don’t think Arita has enjoyed Pokemon for a good many years now but is either contractually obligated to stay involved or sees it as easy revenue for his other art projects.

Probably doesn’t help that a decent chunk of the folks he interacts with at conventions or signings act like complete freakin psychos and only care about what he’s doing to try to flip it. I mean, folks followed him to his hotel in Ocala last year FFS. No matter how Arita (or any artist for that matter) feels about it, it has to be pretty annoying to deal with this kind of behavior on a regular basis. I was vending at Ocala and it was a freakin circus.
