This is amazing, it feels you draw these things in a matter of seconds too. We definitely need a thread for this art.

Greninja was the last decent starter

Shame on you.

Sir, this is the Unpopular Opinions Thread not the Well Know Facts Thread…

Lol yeah to expand a bit I feel like Greninja had the last good combo of usability and design

The others don’t have both of those things.
Rowlet has a good design but kinda sucks to use (decidueye)

Incineroar is very strong but looks like it’s right out of cats the movie

Hmm, I like Decidueye! The Grass/Ghost combo is so unique.

I hear you about Incineroar… that design is so goofy.

Apparently:

If I want an item enough, then I want it enough to pay a few bucks more for for Int’l shipping, SO BE IT!

collecting uncut sheets is lame.

Or even better, buying uncut sheets just to cut them up and sell for profit is super lame.

I feel like the cut cards will have diminishing returns. Like the first few sales will be the best, and then downhill from there.

I will be curious to see whether this is true. I could expect certain species (e.g., Charizard, Pikachu, Eevee, etc.) to always hold a premium, but others may become less desirable over time.

I realised a doozy of a (probably very) unpopular one today, while watching some box openings on YTube:

I’d rather own a lower grade vintage card that was opened and treasured as a children’s trading card, than a newly graded minty copy that came from a modern box break.

There’s just something that feels more authentic, having a card that’s survived in x condition for all these years, than one that was hoarded and kept sealed until stonks time rolled around in the last couple of years.

I wish all sellers would ship mint raw cards of decent value in sleeves that aren’t too tight and a card saver I.

what about buying a sheet, cutting it up to sell for profit, but no one buys them so you are stuck with about 100 cards that not many people are bothered about?

I really hope the cutting of sheets trend dies. Its been in sports cards for awhile, which is why PSA doesn’t grade handcut/unofficially cut cards. It’s just so moneygrubbing.

I think uncut sheets are actually really cool and would love to get ahold of one someday. I imagine they make for great displays. But yeah, cutting them up feels like destroying history in a sense.
