Pichu is cuter than Pikachu
Real unpopular opinion here…
I liked detective pikachu the movie a lot. So much so I bought it so I can watch it anytime in my Amazon prime
those extended art cases are actually kinda cool
Influencers are ruining collecting
I think some of the poncho Pikachu cards look like Pikachu is wearing that Pokémon’s skin instead of a cute outfit.
Battle victory ritual for pikachu - skin the defeated opponents and wear them😎
Wait. There are people who don’t like the Detective Pikachu movie?
I liked it until the ending, which is totally and utterly nonsensical. It also terminates the character, which is a weird choice. Very strange to make a movie with a mascot character and then indicate the character actually does not exist, never existed before now, and will not exist going forward. This concludes the only adventure of Detective Pikachu. Hope you liked it.
It is strange indeed. I read some reports that they had planned for a sequel before the first movie was released. Nothing is confirmed regarding the sequel (cast wise) so if they need to have the same talking Pikachu, it would be interesting to see the mental gymnastics.
Cheers!
Yeah a lot of people didn’t like. I loved it
People who buy two shining fates ETBs and talk about their positions in modern ![]()
Lol I doubt even trollandtoad’s “position” in modern is enough of a fraction to be considered an actual position let alone charizardballers closet position
I’m not sure how unpopular this opinion is, but I didn’t know where else to post this: CGC grading and labeling cards as “XYZ Box Break” or whatever is manufactured provenance garbage. If somebody is willing to pay extra for a card because there’s a video of it being pulled on YouTube or was from somebody vaguely famous’ collection then I have several bridges I would like to sell them.
*galloping in to defend cgcs honor
100%! I think if a notable collector sold something where provenance mattered it would makes sense. But things like a cgc 8.5 base unlimited weedle from a chumlee box break is worthless.
It’s definitely not my cup of tea, but I understand why people would like it.
If the box break was recorded, it allows the new owner to look back on the moment that the card was pulled. To me, it would serve absolutely no purpose, but to a massive fan of XYZ celebrity, it may mean a great deal to them. They are likely fans of XYZ celebrity and have followed their channel/platform for a long time. To the new owner, it would be akin to owning a piece of history from that channel/creator.
My comment was actually spurred on by seeing a graded card that had Chumlee Box Break on it (I originally typoed this to Chunlee, never looking at the Street Fighter character the same way again) haha. Like, if it was from Ken Sugimori’s personal collection or something, or had some kind of connection to an important figure within Pokemon history then fine, I get it. Otherwise I see no appeal.
I’m probably just being a grumpy middle aged man. Give me a 7.5 “The Uri Geller Vault” Kadabra and maybe I’ll change my mind.
