I know. I really like some Heroes/Challenge cards, tho. Mainly the ones not featuring Sugimori art, like Rocket’s Mewtwo and Rocket’s Zapdos

I am not a fan of how many rarity levels there are in pokemon at the moment. Every generation seems to bring a new rarity level, which has slowly made holo cards basically worthless. I liked the feeling of pulling a regular holo and it being exciting, but now with all of the chase cards it feels just like pulling a non-holo rare. (I like alternate arts and the ones with a pokemon and their trainer. I am referring to Ultra rare, ultra rare full art, ultra rare rainbow, Vmax, etc.)
Bonus opinion: the holo patterns have been bland since black and white. Cosmos holos being restricted to promos has led to these boring sheen holos for the regular holo rares and I haven’t been a fan of them.

I agree that the holo patterns have been boring since cosmos holos left. However, I like the fact that they are restricted to promos now. It makes them all the more special and desirable. If all holos were cosmos holo then I would collect holos again but then there would be sooooo many holos to collect. For me the cosmos promo copy of a card is a chase that I love to chase

-Futsal and the Special Delivery promos are ugly and tacky and lame attempts at copying Japanese exclusive promos.
-Japanese PTCG will ALWAYS be better, because:
a) Western quality control is whack
b) Western sets are frankenstein’s monsters
-Nintendo taking over the game was the best thing that could have happened, WOTC were a buncha idiots

I agree with the point on English promos unfortunately.
They just don’t do it for me, everything from the design of the card to the artwork itself. Gives me Topps vibes, off-brand.
