That isn’t what’s happening here though nor is it what my comment was about. Stating that you think the sub grades on graded cards is a waste of money is a valid unpopular opinion and is 100% not the reason people are getting worked up. You’re attacking another member because they share the same unpopular opinion as you.

Its in a cgc 5.5 slab, not a psa 7 slab lol. Id pay psa 4 pricing most likely.

I can see how you’d think that if you are new to grading (which you obviously are quoting that charizard at a 7) but many of my BGS 9 cards could get psa 8 which in fact would be worth less if I ever sold them. BGS 9 does not cross 1:1 to psa or cgc 9 which I didnt think I needed to explain

Thats a rather bold statement to make considering that the grading process in itself is very subjective. Every card needs to be evaluated differently. I have crossed cards from other grading companies based on my own evaluation of the card, not what the grader gave it. A BGS 9 can easily be a PSA 10 or an 8 or even a 6 or a 7 if the grader is having a bad day. There is no guaranteed with this stuff and for you to tell me Im new to grading, yet dont understand things like PSA’s eye appeal or how subjective the process is, sounds like you not as knowledgeable as you like to think.

Not trying to make this thread go on forever since I guess people wanna talk about REAL unpopular opinions, as in whatever random Pokemon that nobody cares about is actually low key super cool, but Ill leave you with this.
If your on here spending your time talking about your expensive Pokemon card collection, I feel that some degree of humbleness/gratitutity goes a long way. There are lots of people on this planet that wish they were in the position that most people on this site are in. Based on the responses of people on here, alot of people dont realize how good they have things and how they seem to take alot of things for granite.

The conversation is over but at the same time, you might want to set some better rules on what is ok and not ok. I did not know that properly explaining my position and attacking someone’s argument is on the same level as cursing or threatening someone, so you may want to make some more defined standards on what is allowed and not allowed.

Unpopular opinion, I love reading new collectors posts as it reminds me of when I was full of blind confidence. A few mishaps mellowed me out pretty quick, haha!
On to Pokemon so I stay with the thread subject, any reprints of WOTC cards look cheap to me. Haven’t seen one exception yet. I understand I am biased since that’s my era.
