It’s a work in progress. I wouldn’t ever want the time constraints and pressure of doing it with buyers already lined up. When I’m doing it on my own, I have all the time in the world to expand it to my satisfaction. And at the end, I can do what I want with it.

Looking back at my goals from this time last year I have to say I achieved a whole 0 and also quit like 2 of them. Over the past year I’ve learned to not overestimate how long and expensive certain goals can be and not to just start up new goals before finishing others. As a result my 2017 target (looking at it probably my 2018 and 2019 goal too) is simply carry on ticking things off my wants list and to not add anything to it. As with everyone I will be picking up some sealed product as I fear that if the market goes as well in 2017 as it did in 2016 that I will be priced out from basically any box pre diamond and pearl.
Completing my PSA 9 1st edition base set and collecting every English S&M promos (this includes jumbos and alternate holos) as they are released.

I would very much like to get one or both of Fan Club Magikarp & Japanese gold star Umbreon. If I could get one of those then I’d consider 2017 a success.
Asides from that, just completing some other goals that I haven’t really publicised yet. Also, since coming back to the hobby I have always felt that I’d missed the boat to buy a 1st Ed Neo box, if I could get one of them for a nice price that’d be a great bonus.

The biggest thing for me would be getting a PSA 10 Legendary Collection Alakazam. Unfortunately it’s still showing zero on the pop report and I haven’t found any promising ungraded copies recently.
Wonderful topic! I’d like to complete the following goals in 2017:
- Reach 80% completion of the Japanese EX series (ex & Gold Stars) in PSA 10, currently at 57%
- Complete Japanese Furthest Ends with all ex cards in PSA 10 (only need Kingdra)
- Organize and sell my extra cards that I have not graded
I’ll probably think of a few more in the future but these are the ones I want to focus on now. Getting the EX series completed is a major goal of mine and I want to have it done as soon as possible!

Good to see everyone’s ambitions - everyone is so different and that’s what makes this community continue to flow.
For me: 2017 will be my first full year collecting. I started about 4-5 months ago.
- I finished my 2016 goal of 1st Edition PSA 10 Gym Challenge and Gym Heroes.
- I’ll be looking to move to other WoTC sets Like Team Rocket, Fossil, and Jungle but I think the prices are too high currently so that will be a later in the year goal when they hopefully drop.
- I also want to get the last couple cards I need for a couple ungraded Neo 1st Edition sets in NM/M condition.
- I think my main goal is to grab 1 or 2 PSA 10 Neo Revelation cards this year because that’s how hard it will be to get them haha! $1000 a card just isn’t right.

been waiting to open base set wizards staring at boxes since i started collecting like 4 and half yearbz ago… or what ever it was. The time has come, the shite shall hit the fan in 2017. If it doesnt then i will unleash large amounts of syndi flamz, and burn things… especially if i get a fake box with unlimiterb packs inside (づ￣ ³￣)づ

Mine is to complete the Secret Super Battle Trophy Set! I only need Number 1 and Number 3 to complete the set. Now I need to find a way to convince the members who have these cards to give them up! You know who you are 
I also wouldn’t mind completing the Tropical Mega Battle Trophy Set. I only need Number 1 and Number 2. Both appeared for sale this year on yahoo Japan, but both cards were unfortunately faded

Hopefully pick up some more sealed PCG/ADV/E-series booster boxes. If a Golden Sky Silvery Ocean or Offense and Defense of the Furthest Ends sealed box pops up…its going to be a bloodbath.

nothing major for me just Promo’s Promo’s and more Promo’s all English to try and complete my sets.
Personally im going to try to Complete the xy booster boxes in japanese, gather as many black and white japanese boxes as I can manage. And most likely grade and sell my singles for funds.
Keep getting caught up! That is my main priority. So Flashfire secret charizards, cosplay pikachu Japan promos, box of English evolutions, fates collide, steam siege, sun moon. Japanese box of pokkyun, cp4 (generations one), and evolutions. And a boatload of English promo stuff.

I’m going to take it slow and not pressure myself this year. I still have things to show you guys from last May (if I remember what I got).
That being said, if someone donated a SNAP card, I wouldn’t mind.
