Welcome to Elite Fourum Thread

hi I’m wondering how to make my own chart

 Like xyl-ophone.

The joke at the tourney was that no one could say it, “Who’s Ix-ilits?” “Why did you pick a name no one can say?!”
I had a triple kill while saying, “It’s Zz-eye-leets!” It was badass enough to become legendary.

Welcome to e4!

Make a thread on e4 with pictures of your cards and we will tell you whether they are worth money. I would temper your expectations - a lot of folks think they have expensive cards but they are usually in poor condition or not the expensive variants that they hoped for.

Regarding being incarcerated, I wish you the best of luck with reintegrating after 15 years. I wanted to mention this resource (https://www.211.org). Calling or Texting 2-1-1 can connect anyone in the U.S. or Canada to resources for shelter, paying utilities, providing food, discovering options for health insurance and low-cost medical care, treating mental health and substance use, seeking legal advice, etc.

Welcome to forum, and congrats on getting out. The easiest way to value your collection would be to submit everything to a consigner like Fanatics collect. They’ll grade your collection for you and put it for auction. Best of luck reintegrating too

Hi everyone!

I’m a former Pokemon card collector and player who is excited to start collecting again and meeting fellow collectors! I played the TCG all the way from EX Ruby & Sapphire all the way through the HGSS sets, and continued collecting up through 2021. After that, I took a break to pursue a PhD. Now having finished that, and with more time and income on my hands, I’m thrilled to get back into collecting cardboard! Outside of Pokemon, I also have been a long time player and collector of MTG as well. Really looking forward to hanging out here!

Welcome in! HGSS was the era where I started playing competitive (after collecting as a child), and although the game has changed quite a bit since then, I always encourage people to try their hand at a local league night!

What kinds of things do/did you like to collect? We’ve got resources of all kinds here, so I hope you’ll find them useful!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I think the first thing I’d like to complete is all the POP series sets from the time I played. More than anything in this hobby, these cards remind me of good times of playing at the local card shop (Next Level Games in Nashville) with my brother and opening these packs at the end of every event. Plus, I already have a good headway on this since we would pretty much go to every event they had

Otherwise, I’ve always had a soft spot for Wigglytuff ( as the name suggests) since my first ever competitive deck was based around Wigglytuff EX. Like most people on this forum, I also enjoy Vintage WOTC holos, especially from the Neo sets and Jungle.

The great thing about Pokemon is that there are so many awesome cards to collect, but that also means it’s harder to stick to any particular collecting goal!

Welcome, @Cjtalkstr8 . Dyl said it best. Create a collection thread and share what you’ve got. We love to see people share, and then you can go on from there. If you decided to go deeper into the hobby and engage more here, I’m sure you’ll have a great time with all the knowledge and positive community on E4.

Cheers!

I’ve been lurking on this forum for a long time and decided it’s time to sign up!

I’m a collector from the West Coast of Canada. I started collecting when I was a child in the 90s, but by the early 2000s, I had stopped. Last year I rediscovered my childhood cards when sorting through some things while visiting my parent’s house. Seeing the collection again reignited my interest and I jumped back into collecting.

My main collection is a master set of my favourite Pokemon from childhood, Vulpix! I am just about done with every English card. I also have the Japanese only cards, and am trying for 1 Vulpix card in every other language as well. It’s been super fun!

I also collect cards of Gen 1 Pokemon to go with my childhood collection.
