Hey man, Niche collections > Youtuber ā€œZardā€ collections! What makes Necrozma one you collect?! I love hearing why people collect and like what they do.

@tromboneguy360 , Thanks for the comments! Niche collections are nice that’s for sure. Hmm, funnily enough decided to collect it after completing SWSH trio legends. I really like it as a poke as it’s somewhat under appreciated and kind of lacklustre due to typing and such. Always had a slight thing for pokes that aren’t popular! But imo it’s really cool in its own way and rather unique, plus I’m a big fan of GF’s ā€œfusionā€ Pokemon. Helps I really liked Lunala as well tbh.

With that in mind, I wanted a collection but a nice serious one, so that’s why I’m going for PSA 10. Best way to represent one of my favourite Pokemon! :+1:

Hi Everyone,

My name is Magnus.

I live in Ontario, Canada.

I have been collecting trade cards since the 90s. Started with PokƩmon. Dabbled a little bit in Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh. Tried out Cardfight Vanguard.

I came back to PokƩmon in 2018 and have been more active now as I would like to continue to collect cards and one day share them with my daughter.

My favourite PokĆ©mon set is Neo Discovery as it was one of the last sets that I bought as a kid and I absolutely love all of the cards in the set (thought I’m still confused why Magnimite was considered a rare - holographic rare - in that set).

@bronzemagnus, welcome to the forum! I also find that magnemite confusing. I would guess that it’s because it is a steel type, and they wanted to make steel spiffy. It’s a fun little holo, though. =)

Hi everyone! After years of lurking and using efour as a resource I thought it’d be nice to get involved with the community! I’m from the uk and after the wotc era I stopped collecting until 2013, stopped again in late 2017 and came back at the beginning of this year.

Currently my goal is to collect all the Japanese set cards from the first generation (32 to go) while also picking up cards with artwork that I like Particularly a fan of komiya, harada, kimura and kesube. Favourite card is probably base set nidoking no idea why it just really appeals to me

Hello everyone! Just your average Timmy here, collected baseball and PokƩmon a lot as a kid and played a ton of the first 3 gens, after that I got into the console era of my life and lost touch with PokƩmon. Still had love for it and would play here and there during my schooling years. Got into sports cards before covid and all of my instincts and desires in terms of collecting have leaned towards PokƩmon ever since. Trying to learn more and be more involved in the community

Hi everyone, have been collecting on and off since base set. Have played the TCG in some form whenever I can find a venue local throughout, even if it was just casually.
I enjoy the feeling of collecting, and having fun playing the card game, on a budget where possible. I generally collect for personal enjoyment of the franchise, hence why I’ve been around so long. I also enjoy the video games and anime, and my collection as a whole is fairly split between Japanese/English language.

Hello

I’m James I’m 27 from England

Thought I would sign up to this forum as I’ve heard good things from a number of people.

I started collecting Pokemon in 1999 and have some amazing memories of myself and my Nan (Grandma) opening base set packs. I’ve been in and out of the hobby again since I left Secondary School (High School) but mainly focused on the games I got back into the cards around 1.5-2 years ago and haven’t looked back since. I’m sure that I will have some questions that I will post in the correct topic area’s .

Btw I mainly collect English vintage and my favourite Pokemon is Onix

Hi!

My name is Santiago, I’m 29 and I’m from Spain. I’ve been a PokĆ©mon fan most of the time since the first episode aired here in Spain.

I played TCG a few months back in the Sun & Moon base set and now I’ve decided to start collecting cards. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed now but I’m sure that I’ll enjoy the learning process.

Hi, I’m too poor to buy the ā€œcool cardsā€ so I just lurk here to see all of the stuff that I wish I could afford. I’ve used this forum to gain knowledge and wisdom and thought that I would make an account so that I too one day can return the favour to another lost soul, or just chat and post cards that I wish I could buy one day. Because I can’t buy all the cool cards, I tend to focus on weird ancillary stuff, old pamphlets, posters, postcards, phone cards, magazines, and other weird things with cool old artwork that are guaranteed not to make me rich but ā€œfor the love of the gameā€ and all that. I might not post much, but I’ll always be watching what you all post.

Hi!

I am a 23 year old biology student from Norway (animals without magical powers are pretty cool too), got a kickstart in collecting pokemon cards by winning a Holon Phantoms booster box as a 7 year old in my country’s official pokemon magazine. As a result, most of my nostalgia is rooted in the original ex era (especially the delta species sets), but I got a soft spot DPPt era and the LEGEND era as I was an active player of the tcg at that time.

Currently unsure of what to collect, as my budget is limited. Gold stars are tempting, but there are a lot of japanese promos in the 03-07 timeframe that I am really interested in featuring many beloved gen 3 mons.

Happy to be here, hoping to read many more interesting threads. Shoutout to all the other ex era collectors on here, it really feels good to know others appreciate the same period as me.

Hi all, I’m 34 and too old to be collecting cartoon cardboard - at least that’s what I’m told.

Started back in 1999 remembering Pokemon coming onto the playground scene replacing POGS and tetherball. Stopped collecting Pokemon when Legendary collection came out and recently got back into the hobby after finding my collection in grandma basement during pandemic. I’m currently trying to complete my childhood 1st edition WoTC collection and have a long road to Veridian City ahead of me.

The Pokemon TCG community on various platforms have been very welcoming so far and hope to get to know you all better in the near future!
