Long-time no talk. It’s awesome to see some familiar faces!
I spent a few years away while finishing college and working on my career; meanwhile my (small collection of) cards sat in my parent’s house.
I’m at a point where I’m thinking of getting back into it. I just bought my first card in years a few days back. Hopefully I’ll be seeing you around more often!
A 2002 McD Chickorita! Nothing elaborate, but it’s a set I’ve always loved, and I really like that card’s artwork. I really want the Mareep from that set as well.
I don’t really have any direction in my collection. Right now the only four cards I really consider “collection worthy” are Natta Wake Bday Pikachu, Sweepstakes Feraligatr, Alto Mare’s Latio (5th movie halfdec), and Battle Carnival Mew. My wish list for next purchases include (among others) JR Rally Pichu/others, Karen’s/McD Umbreon, and Forina’s Breloom (among other jpn movie halfdeck exclusives, primarily the 5th movie and the Jirachi movie). My wants aren’t grails by any stretch, but I just like to have a hodgepodge of cards I like!
Those are great collection cards! Also great collection goals. I would love either of those Umbreon’s especially. Umbreon is actually my favorite Pokemon since I was a kid. Also your recent acquisition makes me want to look at the McD Slowpoke right now on eBay. There’s such unique art in that set!
Hi all. Names Christian or pokebulba, whatever you prefer. I’m 28 have always heard about this website through the community, but just now decided to check it out. Been collecting for a few years now. Collected back in the 90s and early 2000s. I still have my original collection and lots of new cards too. Anyways, thanks for having me and this should be fun!
I collected pokemon cards as a kid with my Dad and after the first couple of times he never let me play with them. Most of the time we would just open the packs and put the cards in sleeves. I didn’t like it at the time, but now I’m thankful that I have a good number of cards in pretty good shape. I’m starting to collect them again and I’m trying to complete a lot of the sets. One thing I’ve discovered is the Topps Pokemon cards. Can anyone explain to me the differences in the cards? Looking at Ebay, some auctions say that the blue labels are better some the black. Same thing with the foil cards, silver versus rainbow. And then there’s the Chrome cards. Can anyone help me before I spend a lot of money collecting the wrong thing?
Hello! Been in and out of the Pokemon TCG fandom here for the past 20+ years. I got really excited at the prospect of joining a forum again. I collected from 1999-2002, then played competitively a bit around 2010, and have recently gotten interested again in collecting with the recent boom of last year. I’m excited to hang around here!
I’ve been collecting Pokemon cards on and off for about 12 years now (since I was 6/7 years old) and lost my collection twice (this is now the third iteration of my collection). Since starting my senior year of high school in 2019, I started collecting again and I’m here to stay. Been serious with collecting for the last almost 2 years and my collection has considerably grown, and still is while I’m in college (Zoology major with a minor in Anthropolgy/Botany).
My favorite pokemon are Lapras, Vaporeon, Togekiss, Giratina, and Garchomp. My favorite set I’m collecting at the moment has to be Japanese Neo Discovery. I’m a lurker so don’t expect me to be seen or to say much
Hey there! My name’s Deo, but you can also call me by my username, Sylveon, if you want! I’m 19 and I’ve been collecting Pokemon since I was around 8 years old. I’m still kind of a newb to collecting, but I’m trying to get more into it - I have limited funds at the moment, unfortunately.
My favorite pokemon are all of the eeveelutions, Scolipede, Shaymin, Pikachu and all of the pikaclones, Latias & Latios, Mew, Vulpix & Zorua. My favorite set is Legendary Treasures, though this might change.
I might be somewhat of a lurker as I’m kind of shy ^_^’’
At the moment I’ve been primarily collecting cards with art I particularly like, as well as cards of my favorite Pokemon. Not quite sure about any big goals at the moment, I’m somewhat indecisive.
Although I’d love to eventually have all the cards of my favorites - but that’s a long shot, haha.
I’m from Florida. Been watching Pokémon since I was a kid, always played the video games. Never was a big trading Card player but always got some of my favorite cards. Just adding to my collection and meeting some cool people to connect with and talk Pokémon.
Definitely enjoy a lot of vintage stuff, and shiny Pokémon’s. Japanese cards are cool as well. I really enjoy the gen 1 to 3 of Pokémon’s. Hope to meet some cool people when COVID is over with at some events and learn something new to expand my knowledge.
From the U.K. but now living in Kyoto, Japan. I am more interested in Japanese Pokémon obviously and have been focusing on completing sets since 2017. Of course when I was younger I had a lot of English sets but they’ve since been sold.
